Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: Is Mat a hero reborn?

The fox like people on the other side of the redstoneter'angreal aren't nice. Hell, they hung Mat from the neck. I don't think they would then fill his head up with information of great value, like knowing how to fight battles against superior warriors(Aiel) with with fewers numbers on his side. Mat just been unlucky. The wheel always spuns him out in the role of a warrior who almost made into the super-hero category, but always died right before he made it. This is his chance, in his fight against the DO.

So are you saying that the foxes didn't choose the memories to fill his head, that those are directly from past lives he has led? Interesting thought if so. I like it, it makes some sense because it isn't like the foxes went..."hmmm, this one, and oh, how about we give him this one, ah, that would be a nice one, this battle one works out great..." that brings up some very interesting considerations.
