Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: Who killed Fel and why?

I have a theory too, but you guys will have to bear with me. I haven't read the Fel section in a while. Actually I have two theories. The first is this. Fel discovered a key principle of physics. A patch is never as good as the original. Okay. Break the seals. Destroy the patch. Let the DO out, and build a new prison with no holes. Seal him away forever. The second theory is a little more far fetched. Maybe when the companions were sealing the prison the DO tried to get out. Is it possible that part of the DO essence was trapped inside the seals as well. This would explain the erosion as well as the taint. Maybe LTT knows this and so if you break the seals and strike fast the DO will still be weakened and won't have gathered all his powers back to him. Then Rand might have even been able to win, but he is caught up on the notion that the seals need to be kept intact. What do you guys think? Pretty crazy, huh?

About the second theory, it has been mentioned that maybe all of the Forsaken were there for a 'coming out' party with the DO. His attempting to leave his prison and caught in between might be responsible for the taint and backlash...which would mean that breaking the seals might not be that great of an idea just yet.
