Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: Who is the Daughter of the Nine Moons?

Hmm.. listen to this. "What does it mean that he 'shall bind the nine moons to serve him'?(Moiraine talking to Perrin about theDragon prophesies TDR page 93 paperback) I would say that this would probably have to do with the Seanchan. Could it be through Mat that this is accomplished? I'm not sure, myself, but I do think that Rand will end up with the Seanchan on his side.

Now that I think about it, it would make more sense for Rand to end up binding the sea folk to him, than the Seanchan. In the passage I quoted from TDR right before that it uses the reference madeabout 'breaking them with the way of the leaf' needless to say talkin gabout the Aiel. Now here's the connection. The Aiel had a prophecy of 'He Who Comes With the Dawn'. The seafolk have the prophesy of 'The Coromoor' I don't know of any references given at all for a Seanchan prophesy. It would just seems to me that there would have to bea reason for a people to follow him. So far it's all been because of prophesy. I don't see why that would change. Plus I just can't see 1. Rand continuing to let the Seanchan keep leashed ones, or 2. The Seanchan agreeing to loose their leashed ones. It just makes more sense for it to be seafolk. I also just really liked how Mat put the sea folk in their place in ACOS. Who knows, maybe there will actually be a relationship in this series where the female doesn't always make the guy do exactly what she wants. (Think about it. You have Rand-Min-Avienda-Elayne, Nynaeve-Lan, Perrin-Faile, Mat-Tylin. I just think that there should be one main male character that has some amount of control in his relationship.)

I agree that this prophecy does point to the Seanchan because of the the 'court of nine moons', but again, if their are nine moon clans of the Seafolk it would make just as much sense to assume that he will bind them to him....I hope it is, I hate defending something that happens to be utterly wrong. Either way, it will probably be through Mat.
