onstants and the BA

Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: Is it all a White Tower Scheme?

I have noticed a certain constant among the Black Ajah. All those actively or openly Black do not seem to have Warders (Galina, Katerine, Delana, Falion,Alviarin). Only sleepers who are behaving as ordinary Aes Sedai have Warders and they give them up the moment they declare their allegiances (Asne,Jeanne).Reasons:

a) Warders can sense the general emotions of their AS.
b) Warders can sense the positions of their AS.

This means that unless the Black sister can bond/find a Darkfriend among the Warders in the Tower (which is most unlikely as Warders suffer like anything to be able to serve, an attitude not compatible with the ambition and hunger for power of a darkfriend unlike an AS who suffers but ends up with the ability to wield power which can be used for whatever ends she wishes whether good like Moiraine , Siuan and most other AS or evil like the Black Ajah), her Warder will be able to eventually be able to discern her basic character and tell when she is lying about her whereabouts or her feelings. And an AS who lies openly is Black so there goes her cover.

By this reasoning, Verin and Alanna most likely are not Black Ajah or have not been performing "Black duties".

Does this sound plausible?

I think you have a very plausible idea here Keith, although I wouldn't say every BA doesn't have a warder, but it would make the job of BA much easier without someone by their side constantly(unless that warder was a DF). Liandrin new before she went to the WT that she was going to be apart of the BA and therefore chose Red, I think many as you have said have done the exact same thing...and considering that about half of the WT is Red(I think)...
