ashiva is Osangar is Aginor

Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: Osan'gars Identity

He mumbles and murmers almost continually - hardly entirely an act. Could he really be an insane forsaken? Aginor may have never had all his marbles. He was not a people person, preferring to create Shadowspawn. He never held command during the War of the Shadow (according to RJ's Guide to WOT). Aginor never had much power to heal, like Dashiva. When Rand chose his four escorting Ashaman, Dashiva was the one he pointed to without looking, eliciting a considering look from Taim (Demandred). The pattern selected Dashiva through Rand, as ta'veren. Dashiva confronts Rand before the final battle with the Seanchan in Ebou Dar, uncharacteristically asserting the need to abort the attack because Saidin was unpredictable. Dahiva was enraged when Rand said that he knew more about the power than did Dashiva. That Rochaid and Gedwyn attack Rand with Dashiva comes as no surprise. Their arrogance screams darkfriend. The surprise here is that Osangar would attack Rand. It looks as if Taim/Demamdred was also surprised at that.

The last point you made is the exact reason why I don't believe this theory to hold true. I don't believe Osangar was sent on a mission to kill. Why not send a Gholam against whom Rand would have no defense. Osangar would not have attacked. Now that is not to say that Dashiva is not in cohorts with a Forsaken. Possibly a recruit from the very beginning such as our friend Liandrin.
