Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: What is Rand's Next Move?

I just read an interesting reference. Rand will stop if Elaida has the sense to stop (to that effect). This is due to a nightmare Rand has where he leads the Asha'man against the tower only to watch them die one by one. He is also surrounded by all the AS he ever knew. Facing the power of the white tower alone. Egwene with an ageless face is specifically mentioned. Attacking the black tower is Elaida's mistake. The problem is that Rand will pay for it. Here's the situation. 1 WT AS attack BT, being crushed. 2 Sallie AS attack WT and Egwene becomes Amyrlin. 3 Rand responds by attacking WT. Some interesting foreshadows (ie. Rand's dream, Egwene+Gawyn confrontation) are thus made possible. It is also interesting that four (at least) chosen are brought directly into the mix. Halima/Balthamel w/Salidar, Mesaana w/WT, Demandred/Taim w/BT, + Aginor/Dashiva w/Rand. P.S. Rand's temper takes precedence over his reluctance to face women. He won't kill, but he'll sever and has enough backup (so he thinks). P.P.S This would be the mother of all battles if it happened meaning Saucepan takes a back seat this time. But alas, perhaps it is too involved. Sorry for the length. "Let there be Chaos!" And there was...

Moridin-X(fomerly Dark-X, I like your little synopsis of what might occur. Although I still have a hard time believing that even Egwene's army would be able to take out the BT. Certainly not the full AS with Egwene who have sworn the oaths. But you are right, it would be quite a battle at that. Although, again I have a hard time seeing Rand let the WT 'remove' his Asha'man, he will need them for the Last Battle. Interesting possibilities here, I wonder if there will be an all out battle between the two towers...
