Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: Is Sammael Dead?

Just a few quick comments: I don't think Sammael used the waygate to escape Rand trapped it, remember? Sammael probably would have seen the trap andd avoided it (or else he's dead from it). I don't think he's dead, though. And even if he was cornered and Mashadar killed him: Dumb ole' Rand Balefired the part that would have eaten him. Presto: Just add Balefire and watch your very own scarred forsaken come to life. (sorry about the sarcasm I'm tired).

Wouldn't that be ironic, does Mashadar fit into that category? I hadn't ever thought of that.

Read back to where Rand wards the waygate. He thinks that he can either ward against Darkfriends, or Shadowspawn. He chose Shadowspawn. Sammael could have used the Waygate.
