hy Can't the Forsaken Make Ter'angreal, Angreal and Sa'angreal?

Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: Miscellaneous Theories

This is more a question than a theory. If Elayne Trakand can make ter'angreal and thinks that she'll eventually be able to make angreal and sa'angreal why cant the Forsaken? The Forsaken are always saying how they're looking for a useful angreal so why dont they make them? Im pretty sure its a matter of how strong in the OP you are and not a talent or anything because Elayne was able to teach some of the stronger Salidar aes sedai how to make them but most were to weak. That definitely suggests that its not a talent. All the Forsaken are easily stronger than Elayne so whats the deal? Ive thought about this and i cant think of one reason why the Forsaken cant make ter'angreal, angreal and sa'angreal.

Great question...although we have only seen her make ter'angreal. My reasoning would be that the forsaken have all of the knowledge in the world and technically they are the adults and the Aes Sedai are the children and possibly they don't see them as a threat and they don't feel it is necessary to have anything but the One Power. My analogy would be a child that learns how to make a bat to protect himself and an adult who knows how to make a bat but doesn't feel like he/she would ever need one to take care of a child...okay stupid analogy, anyone else have any better ideas?

The toaster princip..... I think this has to do with what I call the toaster princip. This is: could you make a toaster if nessesary? Or a TV?An Aeroplane? A Gun?

Making terangreal is probably much easier than making angreal. So its probably a question aboute power and knowing how to do it. The F probably never knew how to make them and has given up to try.

Tamyrlin: The Chosen wants angreal, and are perfectly aware that the aes-sedai (and Rand, dont forget him) can be dangerouse.

If they were that afraid, don't you think we would see them more often with angreal? Plus there are not many Aes Sedai alive where it would make a difference if they had an angreal against a Forsaken. Nynaeve said that the angreal would give here just a small amount that would be necessary to overcome Moghedien...and Nynaeve is a burning bush beside Elayne and Egwenes candles.

Who said they were afraid??? I said that they WANT angreal. 13 Aes-Sedai is more powerfull than one Forsaken..... Besides we have Rand, the ashaman and other Forsakens. Is it a wonder that they want angreal.

My guess on this one is that the making of these tools ('coz that is what they are) is something they never bothered to learn. Sammeal was a general, Moghedien we've been told pretty much ignored whatever was not going to immediately further her goals, etc. The same way most people now take phones, computers, vcrs etc. for granted and have no idea what to do if they break down is my assesment of (most) of the Forsaken.
From what we know of Lanfear, she was at Colaan Daan (sp?) the research institute so she might be able to make one but the other Forsaken def. wanted to get their hands on any of these they could, it was just that once they were coherent the White Tower was guarding their stock, Tear was warded and no handy stasis boxes full of convenient stuff.
When Elayne described her pleasure in being able to make ter'angreal, she compared it to a craftsman making a chair or a tool. Some people can take a thing apart and figure out how it works, others can't. (linked to that, that's how Mat felt about taking apart Bran al'Vere's clock apart and the fireworks.) Everything Elayne has made has been after studying another tool and then duplicating so i argue for craftsmenship.
