ath Rods

Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: Miscellaneous Theories

Has anyone actually sat down and tracked the nine rods ofthe dominion?
One is in the white tower--the oath rod.

-One is with the kin--their (unused) oath rod
-One is on Bayle's ship (as that last guy just reminded us)
-One is in the hands of That Shaido Whore Where are the other five?
anyone noticed them? If so, where are they?

And what the hell do they do anyway? Singlely, they bond the person to an oath, something considered a punishment in AoL, but is necessary in the now. But together.....that'll be something.

I am sure we will see the ones we know of surface in the next couple of books, I can't wait to see what unlucky AS gets caught in that Shaido's Oath Rod. She needs a lapdog since she can't channel.

Actually, yes. But I have only been doing it on my current rereading, and as I am only on tFoH, I have only found fourpossibilities so far.

1.) The Oath Rod (as previously mentioned)
2.) "A rod of clear crystal, smooth and perfectly clear, one foot long & one inch in diameter" tDR(pb) p. 293 One of the Ter'angreal stolen by Liandrin and Co.
3.) "A fluted rod of black stone, a full pace in length, that produced balefire, with the notation DANGEROUS AND ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTROL" tDR(pb) p. 294 Also stolen by Liandrin and Co.
4.) "... a white fluted wand the length of her forearm" "It could have been bone, or ivory, but was neither. No one alive knew what it was made of." tDR(pb) p. 210 The most powerful Sa'angreal in the Tower. Used to save Mat from the dagger.

These are my candidates so far, and I'm still looking for more.
