Before Winter's Heart - Archive Only: Miscellaneous Theories

Now what's the deal here between Moridin and Shaidar Haran. Why would the DO name Moridin Nae'blis? What has he done? (that can be proven) And if not, why would Shaidar Haran back him up? I think that the evil are turning one themself...i think Morindin is planning on taking total control...i.e replace the DO. Moridin plays both sides at one and is starting to give orders to the Chosen...now wasn't they supposed to be the highest?

That what his scheme concernig Rand is.....to somehow turn him towards the DO and kill him/her/it so he can replace the DO... And Shaidar Haran doesn't seem to eager of the DO either... He talks to himself somewhere(ACoS?) and hints that he'd like to free himself...or something like it...

OS the basics are: Moridin and Shaidar Haran are for some reason working together...probably to gain ultimate power.

For some reason I don't think that RJ is after a 'Raistlin' like Moridin. Although I do believe that Moridin wants total control. Remember the DO is behind both Moridin and Shaidar Haran so I would guess that their moves have been mostly directed from him. Although, what exactly is Moridin suggesting when he says that he plays both sides, has he shown up at other times (other than Shadar Logoth) to help the 'Light'?
