rocess of Elimination - List

Previous Categories: What army is about to attack Caemlyn?

Okay, I will systematically say which countries it could not be, hopefully narrowing it down a bit.

Cairhein- The obvious army from the east. However, there would have word of an army marching towards Camlyn weeks in advance, not to mention the Cairheinen supposedly being behind Elayne in the Succession.

Borderlands- All of the Borderland armies are in Haddon Mirk, and are also supporting Elayne.

Arad Doman- On the other side of the world, and over run by Seanchan.

Tarabon- Same as above.

Amadicia- Over run with Seanchan.

Murandy- Soon to be over run with Seanchan.

Illian- No, those are Rands troops.

Tear- Same as above.

Mayene- No. They're too busy fighting alligators and the clap.

The Aiel (non-Shaido)- Not likely. The follow the Car'a'carn.

Shara- They've never left their area before, and they would have caused quite a stir.

Dragonsworn- Rabble. Plus, Perrin is with Masema in Murandy, I think.

Children of the Light- They're kinda tied up with the Seanchan.

White tower- no, they're too busy trying to find the Black Ajah.

Egwene's Tower- possibly, but if so, not to attack. They do now how to Travel, and Egwene had said that they needed more recruits. Maybe going to Caemlyn would prove helpful?

Seanchan- No. Too busy down south.

Shaido- Most likely. They are all spread out, and are slowly forming back into groups, and a sept or two could easily make 20,000.

I don't think I've skipped any. If so, sorry.

I think the Shaido are a good possibility (although they have a ton of enemies sitting around that area, not to mention the Asha'man who destroyed them last time), although another poster pointed out that of those southern armies could use Traveling to get up to Caemlyn.

It's an army which is lead by Logain. He is going East, to round up whatever troops of Rand's that are left in Cairhein so he could crush Taim's force, which is gathering strength. This is the glory Min predicted. It has to be.

*****Glimmers spoiler*****

It is most definitely not Logain as he is now in Cairhien.

The armies are just the three houses aligned against her plus the one Cairhienin house who claims the Sun throne.

As I said, Potatoman, Logain is going East to gather what troops remain in Cairhein to use the army to attack the Black Tower. This is his glory. The army to the East of Camelyn is the forces he has managed to muster right now.

Have we found out who this army is yet? You would think that even from a distance you could tell an Aiel army apart from a wetlander army. Their clothing & equipment are probably pretty different.

It was rebel Andoran forces.

Well we now know that its an army of shadowspawn coming into through a way gate, but most of the statements you made were otherwise accurate with the exception of the borderlanders being in haddon mirk(they were never in haddon mirk that forrest in in the northern stretch of tear if i remember correctly. The shaido have been largely defeated since this post, and most people would wonder why im still typing since we know that its shadowspawn that are attacking.

BUT! One country that hasnt fit your predictions is murandy. Their "king"(Roedran?) used the band as a tool to finally unify the country under one banner and since then we have heard a worringly(made up word?) small ammount of information coming out?

I'm sure that we are all aware of the "Demandred is in Murandy" theory, and honestly i buy into it. On a side note, does anyone know when masema and the dragonsworn were destroyed in relation to when the band was hired in murandy? because i also remember a theory that demandred was lurking in the shadows around the prophet . . . Anyways, it wouldn't be a bad strategy to hit the forces trying to retake caemlyn from behind while they are simultainiously fighting shadowspawn infront of them. My mind is brought back to the "Anvil and Hammer" straegy used against the aiel in the aiel war. Sahdowspawn holding a great city would be the perfect anvil for demandred's murandian hammer.
