on't Forget Gawyn

by Turms: 2000-12-06 | Not yet rated

Previous Categories: What army is about to attack Caemlyn?

I'll bet my toes that Gawyn is in the army marching toward Caemlyn. And as I recall no one said the army was going to attack. Another possibility would be the rebels hiding in Haddon Mirk (or what ever the swamp it was. Sorry, but I don't own any WoT books :( so I can't be certain of the names.) But I don't see any reason the would be in Andor.

Does Gawyn have control over a force that large? Didn't they think it was about 20,000 large?

It makes a lot of sense. Tamyrlin said that the army was stated to be 20,000 strong and that Gawyn did not have access to that size of force. But he did not take into account the time factor. It has been a while since we have heard from Gawyn. It is quite possible many more men have joined the younglings. And then if Gawyn had heard is sister was trying to claim the Rose Crown he would most likely stick to his obligation and head to Andor to support her.
