An Hour With Harriet

2012-04-30: I had the great pleasure of speaking with Harriet McDougal Rigney about her life. She's an amazing talent and person and it will take you less than an hour to agree.

just thinking about the precepts. gaidal cain says they know what good comes of breaking the precepts, so this leads me to believe something has happened to a HotH in the past. what i propose is that HotH actually live in the part of T'A'R that birgitte takes nynaeve to. This would mean they would be safe as only heores can grant access to there. breaking the precepts leaves them vunerableas they have to leave thier haven.

if you ask why would a hero help its obvious - they are heroic, they are heroes because they are individuals who will fight for what they believe in. even if you are are soul trapped in T'A'R you wont want DO winning.

i believe that this could have happened in the past yet the other heroes thought the one who was pulled out is dead ie. if a hero is attacked there they are pulled out, what moggy did wasn't intentional - why would she do that?

this may also explain why there are so few HotHs because although new members ars added some intervene and are pulled out.

anyway makes sense to me....

(Frenzy for Tamyrlin)
Shadow Rising CHAPTER: 52 - Need: "Even knowing I can do almost nothing, I find myself wanting to help you. But I cannot. It violates the precepts, precepts which have held me for so many turns of the Wheel that in my oldest, faintest memories I know I had already lived a hundred times, or a thousand. Speaking to you violates precepts as strong as law." ... (Gaidal speaking) "The precepts exist for a reason, Birgitte. Nothing but strife and trouble has ever come from breaking them."

Birgitte knows she's been bound to the Wheel for many turnings. Yet she still tries to help. Is there something different about the evil facing the world now, making the risk of banishment worth the gain, or is Birgitte's banishment above and beyond the strife and trouble normally associated with breaking the precepts?

**what i propose is that HotH actually live in the part of T'A'R that birgitte takes nynaeve to.**

?

What part is that? When she takes Nynaeve to see the Forsaken? Nothing said that the Forsaken are Heroes, and they are there....

**i believe that this could have happened in the past yet the other heroes thought the one who was pulled out is dead ie. if a hero is attacked there they are pulled out, what moggy did wasn't intentional - why would she do that?**

Disagree. If Moghedien wanted Birgitte dead, she could've done it the easiest way in Tel'aran'rhiod.

**TITLE: Shadow Rising

CHAPTER: 52 - Need

The other woman grimaced, embarrassed and regretful. "I cannot, Nynaeve. I cannot touch the world of flesh unless the Horn calls me again. Or else the Wheel weaves me out. If it did this moment, you would find only an infant mewling at her mother's breast. As for Falme, the Horn had called us; we were not there as you were, in the flesh. That is why the Power could not touch us. *Here, all is part of the dream, and the One Power could destroy me as easily as you. ~More easily~.* I told you; I am an archer, a sometime soldier, no more." Her complex golden braid swung as she shook her head. "I do not know why I am explaining. I should not even be talking to you."**

What Moghedien did, was specific, and very intentional.

Moghedian had told Brigitte in the AoL that she would make her weep alone forever. If she and Gaifal Cain are linked, and Birgitte has been torn from her binding to the Horn, she will only be reborn as others are, and not always with Gaidal Cain, thus she will be without her soul bonded mate for all eternity.

In an interview somebody explicitely asked Jordan if Min's viewing about Lan's seven Towers and teh baby with sword is about his past, and Jordan answered exactly this question that Min's viewings are allways about future. If he had some thoughts about symbolical meaning about the presence and identity, he would say it concerning this question. Maybe they are viewings about past and presence in other cases, but the viewing about Lan is about utter future. Whatever this means.
