Some of you signed up two years ago and your accounts still exist. If you don't recall your passwords, etc., contact me at matt_hatch@hotmail.com. Also, once we get your account set up, I will pass on the passwords to the Scholars board and the Forum for Ancients and Heroes.

Nice bird, Davian. :)

Its a Northern Blue Heron I believe...I took the photo on Lake Champlain like 3 years ago and forgot about it till I came back on these boards and there it was.

But where's da sheep?

Actually, i was getting pissed for a minute. It says I'm logged in, but I may not reply, post, view a thread (more than one post at a time), etc.

Then I noticed I was logged into TL the site, not TL the board. GRRRR!

By the by, there a way to synchonrise that? May not be worth the effort, some folks use diff names or slightly diff names on board/site, but I'm cheap-n-lazy and have the same name and pwd for both. :)

Oh, and I dare say you need to import some smileys, or JWB might not migrate.

And, I gotta say, LOL @ my old signature. Good times - bit of an inside joke me and a friend had.

That reminds me of what I really liked about these boards way back when we first tried them out: You have the option of not seeing people's daft signatures.

woohooo...I made it but I had to reset my password. Now how do I change it to something I can remember?

I've only ever known one other person to say they block signatures, and he's a Malazan from Norway...

I made it! Had the bf over my shoulder for half an hour teaching me vbulletin again (all his paintball forums are vbulletin). He was loving that's he's the expert on something to do with the comupter, lol.

Now I need a better avatar and a revamp of the sig...

Great digs Tam! Thanks for doing all the hard work to get us here!

Erm, if he's a Malazan, wouldn't he be from the Malazan Empire? Cause, otherwise, he'd be Norwegian.

Which means either Laseen's gettting damned greedy, or you're even more daft than Uno is for not wanting to read my sig. And that's a lotta daft. :)

jason wolfbrother
03-24-2008, 11:18 PM
Well we all know Laseen is manipulative and clever. plots within plots. I can see taking over Norway as a way to sneak up on Anomander Rake from his blind side ;) ;) ;) :cool:D

I'm a Malazan-American. He's a Malazan-Norwegian. How hard is that to understand? And yes, we're from the Malazan Empire (http://www.malazanempire.com/forums/index.php?). :p Yay for already knowing vBulletin!

What's up with that "Report Bad Post" icon? To whom would it be reported, and what's the penalty for incorrectly reporting someone?

I'm guessing Tam or Frenzy or whoever the other admins for the site are. Although it seems somewhat silly to report someone instead of just using the email function to contact Tam directly.

The report post link sends a link to the post being reported to all moderators of that forum. When we were here last, that would be all Heros Of the Horn, now I expect that the Nea'blis OF Theoryland" account will get the report. IIRC, it sends the report as a PM rather than an E-mail so it pops up as soon as the recipient logs in.

The penalty for incorrectly reporting someone is angering the moderators -- do it often enough and they'll think of some way to get youto mend your ways.

I just accidentally noticed that it isn't possible to do anonymous reporting; when you're lurking the Report icon is absent.
How can we ever hope to turn this into a proper police state if we can't act on anonymous tips because we can't get them?

Dragon Thief

Lie about your name. Like I'm doing. Cause I'm Gonzo. And I think you should report me, Gonzo, for being bad. Yes. report me now. :)

Well, that's nice, but you'll ne'er find me participating in a roleplaying game. That's not the kind of thing members of the Olde Phartes' Club do. In fact, Snow's participation in such frivolity will be a subject of discussion at our next gathering, if anyone can remember when and where the meeting is supposed to be.

Shhhh, DC.... You're just going to make Tam feel bad. We're going to forget the last two ezboard years happened and yuku was just a bad dream. ;)

Edit: ~cries~ I don't want to be an Elder again, Tam... :(

You should say something to WH about his vile habits that keep him away from Theoryland while you're at it. :) If you can remember...

Group sex?

Uno
03-26-2008, 02:31 PM
Group sex is out of the question, for obvious reasons, not the least of which would be the collective will power of all sentient beings in the Universe, as well as of some of the more clever bugs.

A professor in my music department was fired a couple of years ago because he had criminal charges...for being caught having group sex with a bunch of other olde phartes in the woods at a state park. :)
