But she uses so much more than Tiger! It's not even close! What is she doing there?

Wow... way to go Celine, taking a 50-gallon bath every 4 minutes :) No wonder her lyrics are so sqeaky clean ;)

That's a crap ton of water

If I did the math correctly*, that translates to a covering of about 4 millimeter of water on the entire surface, every day. The yearly rate is about 1.35 meter. That's quite a lot, indeed. About twice the yearly precipitation average of the Netherlands, but this is in excess to the natural rain.

* It would surprise me a bit, but not too much. The figures I got were high, but not as excessive as seems possible if I got a factor of a thousand wrong somewhere. I did have to guess a bit about which acres and which gallons were used. I assumed it was the US set, but that may not be correct with Dion.

For the us in the US (corrected for clarity):
If I did the math correctly*, that translates to a covering of about 7/8" of an inch of water on the entire surface, every day. The yearly rate is about 4' 5 3/16". That's quite a lot, indeed. About twice the yearly precipitation average of the Netherlands, but this is in excess to the natural rain.

You guys just don't know. 5.7 acres is a lot--she is probably housing a homeless shelter on her property, or maybe she is operating a home for abandoned animals. Not every animal in the world is as waterless as the camel.

Geez...give a girl a break, would you?

Better be a lot of animals there... :)

Apparently she has her staff recreate the sinking of the Titanic every week while she serenades from the balcony. It's supposed to be spectacular viewing

Well, I hate Celine Dion. I was working at the Arena for her damn gig, it sounded like twelve strangled cats

For the us in the US (corrected for clarity):
Interesting point: how do you derive this result, using the system of measurements used in the USA?
The main reason why I went to SI this time is that it made the calculations rather straightforward. I would be really interested in seeing someone do this actual calculation, so that I could get an idea of whether or not my prejudice against Imperial Units is justified.

I could of course fake it, and do it myself, but then I would be faking it and all that I would test was my own (possibly flawed) conception of how awkward it is.
