First she attacks a comedian (someone who makes fun of everyone, not just her precious daughter). Now she rips into a blogger. Its a blogger for godsake, you fvcking moron. Get over yourself, you dumb ignorant country bumpkin. They're making fun of your relationship with a radio host, not your precious baby (the same baby you used as a prop for 4 months during the election including having it at a super loud political rally at midnight during the Republican convention).

I freaking hate her...

Palin hits back at 'malicious' photo

Posted: 05:58 PM ET

From CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney
Palin is upset with a blogger who doctored a photo of herself and son Trig.
Palin is upset with a blogger who doctored a photo of herself and son Trig.

(CNN) – A week after a high-profile uproar with comedian David Letterman over the late-night host's joke about her daughter, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is again sharply responding to the appearance of her children in the public sphere.

Palin's latest response comes after liberal Alaskan Blogger Linda Kellen Biegel doctored a photograph of the former Republican vice presidential candidate with her 1-year-old son Trig, who suffers from Down Syndrome.

Biegel, who blogs in support of the Alaska Democratic Party under the name "Celtic Diva," superimposed a picture of conservative Alaskan radio host Eddie Burke over Trig's face in an apparent effort to show how close the radio host is with the Alaskan governor.

"Recently we learned of a malicious desecration of a photo of the Governor and baby Trig that has become an iconic representation of a mother's love for a special needs child," Palin spokeswoman Meghan Stapelton said in a statement provided to CNN. "The mere idea of someone doctoring the photo of a special needs baby is appalling."

Stapelton also suggested President Obama should speak out against such behavior from liberal activists.

"Babies and children are off limits," She said. "It is past time to restore decency in politics and real tolerance for all Americans. The Obama Administration sets the moral compass for its party. We ask that special needs children be loved, respected and accepted and that this type of degeneracy be condemned."

Responding on her blog to the uproar, Biegel said in no uncertain terms the doctored picture was intended to make fun of Burke, not Trig Palin.

"It's called 'Baby Burke' because it's Eddie Burke…basically his probable second-biggest fantasy about the Governor," she wrote. "So, connecting the dots for you…WE'RE MAKING FUN OF EDDIE BURKE!!!!!!"

Earlier this month Biegel filed an ethics complaint against Palin for wearing a jacket made by a company that sponsored her husband — a snow mobile racer — to a public event. An investigator ruled Palin had not acted wrongly and the Alaska governor accused Biegel "asinine political grandstanding."

Hmmm...
Recently we learned of a malicious desecration of a photo of the Governor and baby Trig noun
An act of disrespect or impiety toward something regarded as sacred: blasphemy (http://www.answers.com/topic/blasphemy), profanation (http://www.answers.com/topic/profanation), sacrilege (http://www.answers.com/topic/sacrilege), violation (http://www.answers.com/topic/violation) So... she's canonizing herself now? Or her child? Or at least, her spokesperson is.

Sheesh.

Davian, your obsession with Palin strikes me as a bit unhealthy. She's a married woman. It would be better for you to accept that it cannot be and move on.

For a few minutes in the national spotlight, my guess is anything goes.

She's called the biggest media whore in the country for a reason.

She was John McCain's running mate (for VP) against Obama and Biden.

Not that you care (or you would know already).

Uno, turn on your rep, dammit, can't give you proper props for making fun of people if you don't!

Isn't the point of "special needs" awareness is to treat those kids like every other kid? So, then... how is this worse than if the blogger had used a "normal" baby?

SP: I can't decide whether to laugh or be disgusted by that pic. ;)

To answer the OP- of course not.

She'd have to have a modicum of self-reflection for her to understand what a joke she is. Nothing she has ever said or done in any way demonstrates that capacity.

Its all McCain's fault...when he finally went senile and decided she would be a good running mate, he permanently altered our political landscape and created a monster.

I don't know much about politics in general, but I'm thinking this is a bit unfair. From what I saw during that circus you guys called an election, McCain didn't have much choice in his runningmate. It also seems that your 'GoP' had more involvement in the choice then he did. To say that he was responsible for the monster that is Palin is likely a bit of a stretch.

Neilbert

The Republican establishment was pushing Romney and some others I don't recall, but Palin was McCain's personal choice made seemingly at the last minute.

McCain picking Palin as VP follows the pattern of VPs being so painfully horrible that they provide protection against presidential assassination. At least that seems to be the pattern since '88.

Isn't McCain's wife younger and hotter than Palin? He's got it made, and he'd be more idiotic than I had previously given him credit for if he screwed that up.

I think his wife is like, at least 10-15 years older than Palin. And I also think that he thought that males would flock to him because she is attractive ~to those who perfer mindless blobs~ and females would choose him because he choose one of them. And he didn't want two old white men on the ticket, I'm sure... bad logic, obviously...

Where have you been Spammer?
Not to hijack the thread, but it's been bad the last month and a half or so, where some family members of mine passed away and others hospitalitzed, so it's just been a bit rough; starting to slow down though.
