This is a poem my sister wrote about Cadsuane and Rand's rocky (to say the least) relationship. It's funny and I really loved it, so i got her permission to post it here :)
There Is Cadsuane Sitting On My Sofa
There is Cadsuane sitting on my sofa,
Her knitting sprawled across the cushions.
She is now my maddening advisor,
And giving me nasty “conditions”
She keeps ordering my Ashaman about,
And expects us to obey as well,
The Aes Sedai are so shocked that they shout
“Cadsuane, you’re alive and well?!”
Min says she’ll teach me a lesson,
Though I can’t imagine what that can be.
When she’s around I feel anger and tension,
There is just no lesson I can see!
She scolds me for all things big and small,
She tries all my remaining defenses.
Her counting drives me up the wall,
As she adds up all my offences!
No one seems to get on her good side,
Not Alanna, not Min, not Logain,
She even has the nerve to deride,
Of all people- Darmodred, Moiraine!
Uh oh, perhaps I spoke too soon,
For the one person she won’t dismiss,
Sorilea, has just entered the room.
Oh, Light, is there no end to this?
