If so, why didn't you tell us (http://www.dailymotion.com/stevanhogg/video/x7eutz_craziest-pilot-ever_fun)?

Someone in the comments calls it a great "fake" and I honestly can't be sure -- if it's a fake it's a really well done one and if it's real it's fucking INCREDIBLE!

But I don't think physics would allow it to work like that, alas.

I guess we'll wait for Sare to tell us if its possible. However, if you land a 747 with no engines in the Hudson.... Why can't you do that?

Well, the Hudson was Intelligently Designed for that specific purpose. After all, it would be totally unbelievable if it had been pure happenstance, which is the only alternative according to the ID crowd.

Do you have to turn everything in a religion thread?

Not everything, but this was such a beautiful opening that I couldn't resist. I do think it would be best if this sidetrack were ignored. Unless someone has something really funny to say about it, of course.

A little after 00:40 the wing reappears for a few frames.
And no, there's no way a plane could even be controlled with only one wing.

I beg to differ. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M359poNjvVA)

DO NOT PANIC.

I'd guess that's what allowed both pilots to do that.

Like the the voice-over of Zan't clip said: no other plane can do that.
I will not believe the first video to be true untill I see it happening with my own eyes.

I thought it looked terribly fake once it landed. In the air, not as much, but there's a lot less to contrast it with up there.I beg to differ. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M359poNjvVA)Holy Crap.

Wow. That looks tremendously fake. How did people even come close to falling for it? o_O??

that was actually the horizontal stabilizer that you saw there.

i'm not so sure that wasn't a remote control airplane, my dad is a airframe mechanic and inspector and he agrees. i knew i had seen it b4, he has a copy on his laptop.

i don't think it was doctored, because of the way it landed, except to swap out the r/c and the real plane
