Currently Theoryland is the only site on my bookmarks toolbar that doesn't have a favicon.

This makes me sad. :(

A what?

The little icon that shows up in the URL bar when you go to a page, or when you bookmark a page.

I suppose we could have a TL Favicon contest, but i don't know if anyone here's any good at designing that kind of thing :P

Even something as simple as a Seal would work for me.

No, not a 'Seal.

It is also the only site in my bookmarks without one.

Funny. I was missing a favicon for theoryland a year ago maybe. I actually went ahead and made one. Heh. It's in the ezboard colors as you can see.

There is a firefox extension, Favicon Picker, that lets you manually select pics for favicons in your bookmarks.
It only shows up in the adressbar when your at the exact adress of the bookmark though. So when your inside a forum, and making a post, etc. it doesn't show there.

There might be a way to use those css replacing extensions to change the favicon and get it to work across the whole domain, but that is overkill for me. :)

Does it not work similarly to the Greasemonkey? Could you possibly use the * as a wildcard?

Also, I cannot seem to find this Favicon Picker add-on via the mozilla website...help?

tbh, I didn't know what a favicon was, so when I saw this thread, I thought it was about a conference, like DragonCon or WorldCon or JordanCon. And I was like, I wonder what kind of con this is?

Well, for WoT things, Encyclopaedia WoT and Tellings of the Wheel don't have favicons, either. But most other sites do.

Addons for firefox.
This one I use:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3176

Here is another one:
https://addons.mozilla.org/sv-SE/firefox/addon/7849

This addons is not as Greasemonkey, no. I don't think you can in any way change the adress with the Favicon Picker addons. If you change the adress there, you'll change the adress of your actual bookmark, which probably don't want to do.

If you learn how to make Greasemonkey or similar take your bookmark's favicon for the whole domain, I'll be interested in hearing about it.

I like both! How do we do it? Just use the FF add on? Or is there a way that we can all see it without FF?

I was planning on including one...but it was going to be the last step...of what appears to be a year long redesign.

We're here to help. Or possibly take over the place.
