Who knew that computer programmers had put this much effort into such an old philosophical question, huh?

There used to be a simulator out there that generated random numbers as if monkeys were typing them (somehow), and then it compared each letter to works from Shakespeare and saved the results of any matches. I think the simulator ran for about three years and the farthest it got was 24 consecutive letters of Henry IV.

One of my theatre professors was adamantly against the idea that monkeys could create a work of Shakespeare. We had many interesting discussions about it.

Anything is possible as long as you use a little infinity :)

A remarkable, elegant little C function was written to implement I-TAG processing, but it has too many lines of code to include in this marginLOL!

2. A SIMIAN must respond to a HEARTBEAT request with an ALIVE or DEAD code. SIMIAN implementors must be careful when checking the heartbeat of very relaxed monkeys who practice transcendental meditation or yoga, as they may appear DEAD even if they are still alive. It seems there is no provision for encountering a Schrödinger's Monkey. That may be a severe design flaw.

infinity is fun stuff :pAs is math when you allow division by zero. You can get some funky things. (one of the simplest being "1=2")

You don't need division by zero to get that, you just need to work mod 1.

you can actually allow division by zero? how does that make sense at all?

and it's dangerous too
