View Full Version : Anyone from Philly?

Wee Willie Weber (http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/the-insider/Wee_Willie_Webber_has_passed_away.html) was my great uncle. He was a bit of a local celebrity in the Philadelphia area, having done both radio & tv for six decades. He earned that nickname for being just shy of 6'6" tall. (radio humor...) Anyway, he passed away this last weekend at 80. He was the last of my grandma's generation, which is a bummer.

On another note, my aunt is in the last stages of liver, kidney, and everything else failure. She probably won't last much longer, which is a kindness at this point. She's 50. She's the youngest of my mom's generation, which is a bummer.

Wish i had something witty or profound to say, but i don't. Nothing that's not cheesy or snarky, anyway. So, yeah. bummer.

Sorry to hear that Frenzy.

I am in Philly, but I just moved here 3 years ago. A lot of my family lives here though, so they have probably heard of him.

I'm sure I mentioned this the other day, but, as always, but please call at any time if you need anything. "We Never Sleep."
