This probably has been brought up here, but I can't find a thread dealing with this.

When Mat and company go down to Hinderstap, he brings along five redarms. Two (Harnan and Delarn) stay with Mat. Three go with the Aes Sedai and the Warders. For a reference point, check page 407.

Now. When Thom meets up with Mat, Talmanes, and the two redarms with them - and they all get the Aes Sedai out of the inn, theres no mention of the three redarms that are supposed to be with the Aes Sedai group. You have the three Aes Sedai, Joline's Warders, and the two bathing attendants they bring along with them. That's it. Throughout the entire Hinderstap section, the only redarms mentioned other than the beginning on page 407, is Harnan and Delarn, who stay with Mat. The other three simply vanish.

Joline's Warders are the ones carrying the two bathing attendants from the inn. And Mat winces when the Warders get them on their backs. Why? Because I don't think the other three redarms EXIST anymore. Either Sanderson mistakenly had three redarms go with the Aes Sedai and they weren't supposed to, or he completely forgot about them when the story came to Mat and his group getting to the Aes Sedai inn.

They are Black Ajah. They'll turn up later, of course.

Actually, the book says 'five soldiers' -- obviously composed of two Redarms and three Redshirts. :D
