Doctors said Zarate was mentally ill but it was not clear why he ate the metal.
My guess is it was to impress the ladies. I've always wanted to eat some weird objects for just that reason. Never brought myself to do it and now I am glad i didnt. You get a stomache ache.

speaking of eating metal...thread hijack alert...I picked up Mistborn and read (most of it) this week. Incredibly disappointed. Sigh. I could cry.

I ate a calculator (minus batteries and lcd screen) in 8th grade.
Didnt help my math grades...

I used to eat tissues when I was hungry during lesson time, afer almost getting expelled for eating in class..

wouldnt that be cool if that's what they did... raise a batman villian? sini where does that put you? another villian or would you like to become the real batman? or a wanna be batman?... or a wannabe villian? hmmm, keep us guessing.

Really? I just finished it last week and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's definitely not the same style as RJ or up to the same standards- but for a young writer I thought it was fantastic.
