Yes - I accidentally deleted Camel's post, trying to delete a duplicate post of mine (poor friggin design I would say.) Sorry everyone, although I think I still have my post...I know, how nice of me that I have my stuff at least...

Nargs: "Yes - God gives light and knoweldge to man. Man also convolutes that knoweldge with his own ideas as we know."

Sure, I guess. We all believe variations of truth, as we have deciphered them. Of course, smart people write down what they think they have learned so they can go back and change it as they improve upon their understanding. However, that doesn't mean that the knowledge is false. It means that there is more truth to be found, more truth to be refined, a mindset I admire about people that have devoted their lives to Scientific discovery. I wouldn't want to live in a world where such people didn't exist and flourish and receive a special place in a society. I don't ever want to be led by a person or a group of people that merely accept without serious inspection, agree without great thought and discovery, and lead without introspection and a firm belief of the fallibility of one's own beliefs. Which is why I regret voting for George Bush.

Nargs: "I do not wish to discuss the evolution thing because I have no knowledge on the subject because I do not care about the subject. The reason why I do not care is because I know that all things are by design and that it God's design. I dont know or care, really, how long each of the 'supposed' days were or from what material the earth was organized. I am content just knowing that there were creation periods and that the world was organized. Man has tried to justify it. Figure it out. Figure out the "mysteries" of God. I also believe that there are things that man is not supposed to know but allowed to know by god because their own desires are great enough."

I can appreciate the fact that Evolution is not everyone's cup of tea. I don't know the theory well enough to teach it to anyone. In fact, I'm a front end design, creative type that would like to spend his days writing and drawing and talking to people, but that's not to say that I don't find the discussion of it compelling. You are familiar with the concept of one not being able to be saved in ignorance. I think it's fair to suggest that the "mysteries of God" are very much what He intended us to be concerned about and are very much about understanding each other to the point that we can come to live a life like Christ, one of Charity. I would suggest that the theory of Evolution is something that connects each and everyone of us to each other and to this planet, something that would make it easier for us to find commonality among race, gender, etc. Look at how much strife existed, Man vs. Man, and Man vs. world, before Scientific discovery found a place to flourish in the Western World. Not that it is over, but the real trouble spots in the world exist where it is easy for one Man to take advantage of another Man's ignorance of the most basic truths of life.

Nargs: My bombastic claim of wisdom is that I know that God exists... nothing about evolution and I am sorry if it came out that way. If wisdom was knowing that God is real then I am a wise man.

I can understand how pleased you are that you have found God's existence to be true, but I meant bombastic because the way in which you shared this "pearl" seemed wrong, belittling, kind of a one-up position on the supposed "swine" around you. You can sense that now right, after going back and reading what you wrote?

Nargs: And my curiousity got the best of me which is why I came back to this thread. I am human after all.

That's why I created this place...because I figure we are all curious. :)

gee, thanks, boss.

My last post was in response to Davian:

Thanks for the correction on the Woolly Mammoth evolution thing. I wasn't sure what Woolly Mammoths are thought to have evolved to, so I made a guess. Turns out I'm wrong (assuming you're right :P). Thanks for the heads up though.

In your dreams, Tam.

I know I've got a nice ass, but geez... do we have to make a public spectacle over it?

Bryan Blaire

Why not? SP thought mine was so nice he decided to publicly grab it. At least Tam's not grabbing it, Camel.

It seems that while in a fog of envy, Tam ate a pepperoni and mushroom pizza instead of grabbing my ass.

Lucky me.

If it's Live Nude Camel Steaks, doesn't he need to take his clothes off -- Never eaten Camel before -- Does anyone know if he'll taste good? :p

Probably depends on what sort of mood you catch him in. :)

All right, let me see what I have missed.

When the Ice Age ended, the Woolly Mammoth evolved into the Chihuahua, which is better adapted to dealing with the current heat. When the next Ice Age comes, the Woolly Mammoth will reevolve (possibly from Chihuahuas, though that is not guaranteed), obviously. And this proves that God exists.

Now, the only thing that isn't clear to me in this story: how do Camels fit into it?

Jesus is a girl? Or are we talking about another god here? ;);)

disclaimer: this is meant as a joke at Davian's typo, NOT to start a religion thread...
