Since the Sony/NcSoft deal I have been wondering what were they up to. A theory of mine would be to make GW2 both for the PC and P3 and make it so they both can connect to the same game. Since GW2 will be a no fee game, I personally think it would be the best possible platform and would make it the very first to do so.

Interesting, but if they keep the skill bar idea there's gonna be no way to do that on a controller. Also not to mention all the seperate screens and the like.

Then again that' GW not GW2, there could be a massive redesign. Then again if they weaken the system to make it Console compatible I'm not going to be happy.

That is true. However the interface does not have to be exactly the same does it?

The problem is that very rarely do the companies bother to make separate interfaces for games on multiple platforms. Which usually means the PC version of a game is stuck with some awful console interface which is designed to be seen at distances of eight feet on a TV and not on a monitor. Even worse is they stick the PC version with the same control scheme as the console version. I really hope ANET don't do this.

Since there will be a Zoom feature distance of 8 feet on a tv and seeing the action from a few feet away won't make much of a differance. Controls would have to be totally differant but simular in action.
The P3 game controller can do just about every hot key needed. From what I remember about the controller is that they have top buttons that can act as shift keys. Use 4 of the normal buttons for spells/skills 1-4 and then hold down top button plus 4 normal buttons for spells 5-8. With the ability to make those top buttons act as shift keys you can easily have 20 or more hotkeys which can be used for skills, jumping, open inventory ect.
I would be surprised if Anet made a bad product and I highly doubt they would do so.

Hmm, sounds interesting as it would likely get more players involved in the game. But, I just hope that they hold true to the PC gamers as I likely will not be in the market for a P3.
