Starship Troopers. Movies based (very loosely) on the book all suck...but the book rocks!

Encountered a line that made me LOL. Didn't remember it from before.

"I'm a 30-second bomb. 29, 28, 27..."

Heinlein's really good. The opening sequence of Rico's raid on the Skinnies is as good a bit of action writing as anything else I've ever read. And it's kind of amazing how lots of the stuff that was considered SciFi back when he first wrote the book is reality today.

Starship Troopers is an excellent book.

"On the bounce!"

The movie shares basically the name with the book and little else.

Great Book. I disagree about the film though. The first Starship Troopers is actually an entertaining movie.

I think the main problem people have with it is the presense of Casper Van Dien. And Bond:"I thought Christmas only came once a year" herself. Denise Richards.
