Yeah I know, we aren't being directly hit, but Houston is still going to get a ton of rain from this. Man am I glad I don't live in a first story apartment anymore.

As long as we're not getting hit, I'm cool. I like rain! And Bryan and Gil's house isn't likely to be prone to flooding. It's pretty much entirely airtight.

Lots of rain? Says who?

Doesn't even look like we'll be on the dirty side. Austin will see more of this crap than you and I will.
LOL @ B.... I think the fact that they graded our house higher than everyone else on the block will have more to do with our not flooding than the airtightness of our house.

Is there any cool air in it? Send some of it this way...I'll take some of the rain too. We need it.

There is never any cool air in a hurricane.

Hmmm, when my wife and I experienced hurricane Donna in 1960 at Cape Canaveral, Fla. it seemed cool outside to me. Of couse, the wind was blowing and that may have added to the chill factor. It only hit 110 mph.

We're on the slightly dirty side, but far away. High today is upper 80's with a ton of humidity. We're expected to get 15" of rain and winds around 30MpH.

Oh yeah we're not going to get anything Gilly. That's why I was woken up at 5:30 in the morning by a lightening strike that sounded like it was in my freakin living room. :p

It lasts for two weeks and kills the grass. You MIGHT have to wear a sweater.
And Sini, just because YOU got something, doesn't mean WE did.
