oh my god, he's so awesome and cute!
I just wanna watch the movie over and over again..
I watched it at the cinema on wednesday night (it has only been showing here since last friday), 9 pm, and the cinema was packed.. - although I guess that a bunch of people probably watched wall-e because the dark night pre-screening was sold out, and so was mamma mia. :/
wall-e has got to be one of my favourite movies, and for some reason I didn't even mind the lack of spoken dialogue.

I enjoyed it too. I think Camel posted earlier saying he liked it as well. Very endearing film.

I'm probably going to pay for this, because it went against every single manly man value I have nurtured and loved for years, but my lovely and very convincing wife made me go see Mama Mia. It was by far the worst movie I had ever seen. Remington Steele (Brosnan for those too young to get the reference) can't sing, Meryl Streep was way overacting and can't sing either, I can act better than Amanda Seyfried, the story line was horrible...I'd spend money on dinner instead. Incidentally, my wife hated so bad she actually wanted ask the theater for our money back...and we weren't the only ones. The theater was full and I think it's the first time I have ever heard boo's after a movie...it was god awful. I got more, but you run out of expletives and adjectives after a while.

:D
as a music student, i've had tons of fellow students tell me how awesome it was.. *shakes head*
after johnny depp and helena bonham carter managed to make sweeny todd a success, I guess they thought they could do a mainstream musical and make it a success.. >.<
No way I'm gonna do that to myself or jay.
as for wall-e, I think it's incidentally the first time I've heard people clap after a movie.
waaall-ee!

Sweeny Todd was only a success because no one actually knew it was a musical;) I noticed a couple of people leaving once they realised when I watched it.
I'm looking forward to Wall-E, I might even go see it in the cinema if I can find someone to go with. It does look very enjoyable, and apparently has some more adult references if you look for it, so it's not just a kids film, which is a good sign.

I thought Wall-E was good, not great...maybe I had heard too much hype about it before I saw it. The cockroach was cute, though. :)

For those not in the know, Mamma Mia! is basically a jukebox musical, taking ABBA's songs and writing a (crappy) story around it. I haven't seen it, but even as a theatre freak, I have no desire to see it.
I'm not a huge fan of ABBA, and I'm certainly not a fan of the Mamma Mia! soundtrack.
I'll save my money for something else, like, say... Batman... again.

~shudders~ I'd rather watch The Ladykillers again...Naw, I think I'd just stay home.

If I want to listen to ABBA, then by God I will put in an ABBA cd and listen to ABBA.
No way am I paying $8.50 to listen to untrained actors singing ABBA songs badly.
What a scam.

Well, the Broadway musical was excellent, actually... I really have no desire to see the film, however.
Most of my female friends have come out, saying first "I loved it," and then directly after "Pierce Brosnan is gorgeous and amazing."
Somehow I feel like the first statement is inextricably linked with the second... and after Brosnan butchered the Bond series (or his writers did, I thought Brosnan was a decent Bond, actually), I don't want to see many movies with him in it.

He's AWE-some in The Thomas Crown Affair and After the Sunset. I personally think he's a fabulous actor....and yes, totally smokin' hot.

Agreed. Brosnan is a pretty decent actor, but the Bond movies sucked, pretty much.
Then again, I've never really been a Bond fan. Didn't like the recent "Casino Royale" much. Though the new one, whatever it's called, looks interesting.
He just seems like a sophisticated Rambo to me. I much prefer Jason Bourne or Jack Bauer to Bond.

Loved it. I agree though, a bit too much hype. I had heard it should get a best picture nod at the Oscar's, not just the animated nomination. It was good, but that may be a stretch.
I loved all the "pretties" that he collected, hysterical, touching and kind of sad all rolled in together. I am sure my husband had no clue about the Hello Dolly song, but I LOVED that part and recognized it immediately.
I agree, the cleaner guy was DETERMINED!!! lolol

I am convinced that anything Pixar touches turns to gold. I personally have not seen Wall-E but if it was made by pixar, it's guaranteed to be good.
