View Full Version : LA Wants To Ban Fast Food

I understand the reasoning that there needs to be access to healthy food (especially in the form of grocery stores) in the inner cities where many families do not have the ability to leave their local neighborhood to go shopping but I don't think this proposed ban will solve that issue. This seems to be over regulation by the gov't IMHO.

I'm not sure it'll help either. However, grocery stores are notorious for not stocking fresh fruits and veggies in their poorer locations, claiming no one buys them.

And then what happens to all the poor people that work at those fast food chains?

They'll work at Fruit Stands instead?

They're not closing established ones, they're putting a moratorium on new ones, at least that's how I read the article.
