View Full Version : Oh John...how could you?

If this ever makes (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,391426,00.html)it to a real news station (which it doesn't appear that it will) it could be real trouble for the guy who wants to be second in command. And if he really did it, he's a scumbag of the lowest sort for going out on a wife that has cancer...

One, I think he already has stated he doesn't want to be VP. Two, it comes from Fixed News, so I have questions there.

But if he did do it, he is a jerk, and the fact that his wife has cancer does multipy the jerkiness factor.

They are getting information from the NATIONAL ENQUIRER! LMAO What's next? The Weekly World News? Will Fox News be telling us that Elvis was spotted with an alien in the middle of New Mexico?

Well, they figured out a long time ago that their fans like this sort of thing...

I question the source.

Which is not to say that a stopped clock can't be right twice a day, but I suspect this is more of a smoke screen to deflect attention away from yet another Republican scandal.

Another pathetic attempt by FOXNews to move eyes and minds away from the scandals of the right.

The people that preach are always the ones doing something naughty when no one is looking. Though I do find it amusing that they had to turn to the Enquirer to find a story even remotely as bad as some of the recent Republican scandals.

I'm usually willing to believe anything negative about any politician's private life from either side of the political spectrum, but ya gotta consider the source on this one.

However, like someone already said, even a broken watch is right twice in one day.

tbh I wouldn't be at all surprised. These people who call themselves politicians all seem to think they are above everyone else and even above the law. They seem to have such a feeling of superiority that they think they will never get caught. Oh well, Mom said they had it on her local news in Indy so I was trying to find it and the only people who mentioned it were fox news...that I could find anyway.

Davian93

Foxnews sucks...they really really suck and they've dragged the other major news channels down with them because of their pandering to the lowest common denominator...now CNN sucks just as bad and MSNBC though slightly better is going that way too. They are all basically entertainment tonight with a bunch of so-called commentators and women that wear skimpy outfits to report in.

Sei'taer

Uh...I don't have a problem with that...really I don't...at least we're not doing something as silly as focusing on the news.

A number of the right-wing news organizations depend heavily on The Drudge Report, and of course from there it filters - down or up? - to places like CNN or MSNBC.

In my experience it starts before they become or try to become politicians. It's like they think they are invincible to begin with, so that makes them want to run for office.

Screw you very much.

John Edwards is a family friend and I've spent more time speaking to him in person than you have spent reading his press clippings. My family attended the funeral of his first son.

If you've got a reason to dislike him, speak up. Make it reasonable and articulate and damned poignant, because I have seen him kicked around in the media and in other places and it's never been warranted.

So why is he a scumbag, Terez? What has he ever done to you?

I would agree in total with the statement above if the word Republican was changed to "POLITICAL." Scandals in and of themselves have never been one or the other but always from all directions in the political world. And when politicians get caught they are quite like our so called religious leaders with their responses. Cry, beg, plead and swear on a stack of strip-tease magazines a mile high that they will never do it again. And beg forgiveness...

Here, Terez, since you obviously have something to share...

WHY do you think John Edwards is scum? Strange Package knows the man, and disagrees. Granted, Kitten may himself be scum (though I don't think so), but you must have a reason for thinking he's scum, yes?

Enlighten us. We do so love to talk!

Don't worry about it. I'm not in the mood for a flamewar, and if he was running for national office I might care enough to elaborate so that SP could refute some stuff for me that I tried pretty hard to refute on my own. But he's not, so I don't, and everyone can go on assuming that I'm wrong and SP is right (which is what you guys are going to do anyway) and it doesn't make the slightest bit of difference. ;)

Clearly I'm more awesome than Camel... the evidence proves GLotD's theory false!

Also noticed you just threw out the word 'scumbag' without saying any reason why, which is a pretty baiting statement. It BEGS the question - "Well, shit, Terez... why do you think he's a scumbag?"

Your refusal makes you boring. I shared why I think he's a scumbag - you're making me feel exposed.
