He said anyone at his signing tonight should guess a WoT character who will get their first POV in AMOL. I told people to guess Taim or Logain since they're the most likely, but I wonder if he meant 'only the one I happen to be thinking of'.

.
It has been guessed. The character with a viewpoint for the first time in AMOL is Tam.

It's looking like the clues are something about Brandon's books...but the criteria for the clues are WoT-related things. Assuming he sticks to the same criteria-type things. He wasn't exactly consistent on it last time, but he might have a plan this time.

Any reason those two are the most likely other than that we expected a Black Tower scene/plot line in ToM and didn't get one?

Any reason those two are the most likely other than that we expected a Black Tower scene/plot line in ToM and didn't get one?
Because both seem to be set up for it. Certainly a lot of fans want to see a POV from one or the other, probably more than anyone else. We've had POVs from most important people. It could be that RJ was planning on never doing a Taim or Logain POV, though.

Peter said on Twitter that all the clues are WoT-related, so we need to keep up with them. How about this - I don't expect Frenzy to keep up with this, since it's a lot of work, so how about those of us who can just edit Frenzy's OP when necessary to keep a running tab of the clues? They need to be in the OP so that Brandon or whoever can link to it and people can see what all the clues are without reading the whole thread.

Terez
11-08-2011, 10:31 PM
Okay, I thought I posted about this earlier, but apparently not. So that we can have a place to link people for all this info, I figured this thread would do, so I just added it to Frenzy's post. I hope that's okay - if not, I'll move it to another thread. But this way others can help.

Hey Terez. You probably don't remember me, but we met last year in Provo, if I recall correctly. It was a really quick introduction.
That's not why I'm posting, though. I happened to be standing in line behind the guy that guessed Tam the other night and I got a picture of the clue. What will be the best way to get it to you? It's on my phone, and it's pretty easy for me to upload to facebook, but let me know.

I'm wondering if based on Brandon's tweet that he did not 'write' the codes if the codes are sections of Jordan's notes. Topic headers, maybe, or something similar.

Terez
11-09-2011, 05:18 PM
Yeah, that was my thought. I will brainstorm some more later; for now I have to attend a GA.

Someone found Brandon at the airport - the second code is TREES BY COUNTRY. I'll update the details in a little bit with tweets.

The Angry Druid

Excited. This is getting my back into fantasy mode.

My enthusiasm took a bit of a hit with no BT plotline in ToM (and other issues), and then Martin's Dance with Dragons.

Hoping 2012 will be much better. And I'm certain it will be.

I'm thinking the guess about the clues being Jordan's (or Harriet's, or BS's) section titles for notes is on the money.

Forsaken Events
Tress by Country.

Show us the breadth and scope of events RJ kept notes on. From the large impactful doing of the Forsaken, to the close up world detail of the types of trees in each nation.

I'd expect the others to be somewhere in-between.

List of Darkfriends. AS/WF/Aiel/Damane and Asha'man OP strength lists. Cities and towns by country. Known blademasters. Lists of Ter'angreal and their forms and functions. List of angreal and sa'angreal and their forms. How were AS raised in the AOL.

Anything. Of course, we aren't going to get a list of DF's before the final book comes out, but Verin's was a good start.

After reading through Sanderson's post and understanding Terez's comments a little better, I'm thinking that the "cool curiosity" being revealed is the mythological underpinnings that he referenced in an earlier tweet. There appears to be a huge amount of symmetry between the Wheel of Time and norse mythology that goes way beyond the Rand, Mat, and Perrin.

Two code phrases isn't much, but "Forsaken Events" and "Trees by Country" is suggestive of sections of the notes titled and involving correlation between between the Wheel of Time and that mythology. I think you might have to work in terms of "section titles" rather than smaller phrases to get those clues by guessing.

Specifically, Forsaken events might refer to the battle between Thor and Jormungandr (Slayer), the separation of Thor from Odin (Demandred), Tyr's battle with Garmr (Moridin).

Trees by country might indicate a connection between certain lesser trees out of norse lore such as Hoddmimis holt, Thor's Oak, Mimmameior, Laeraor and their connection to nations such as Andor, Cairhein, Saldaea, and others.

Things to ponder.

Terez

He's got another one going for the signing tonight. It might be over by now though, or getting close. You have to guess the first POV in the book - it's a new character in somebody's army. You have to guess which army - and you actually have to be at the signing to guess. I'll add the list of all the armies to the OP.

eht slat meit
11-09-2011, 11:50 PM
Ah, my guess would probably be one of the Borderlander armies, but if specificity were required, I'd go with Tenobia's. As of the end of ToM, it appears that Maradon has the last of the towers still standing and the seat of the Saldaean monarchy.

Opening sequence, the last tower goes down in a blaze of glory from the PoV of their army. Makes sense to me. Probably wrong, but makes sense anyway!

I also tried typing in the name of a city in Alloy of Law that has a suspiciously WoTlike sounding name, but it did not work either. (This was before I actually read the full criteria.)

I'll do some #wotgh clues for internet guessing soon. I want a few of the codes to be revealed first so you can get a feel for their theme. ~ twitter

So there -is- an intended theme to these phrases. Another possible theme that springs to mind is Industrial Revolution.

Tried 'Dragons' and 'Cannons' with no luck.

Actually they seem to be note headings.
Forsaken Events - to keep track of the Forsaken and their timelines.
Trees By Country - so when they are wandering in the woods he can have trees that make sense.
Gunpowder - to reference when he is talking about Dragons and fireworks.

Also one army that I haven't seen anyone note down yet is Almen's army that appears at the end of ToM.

How about one of the Seanchan commanders?

We have seen a POV from Furyk Karede (Seanchan retreat near Ebou Dar and tracking down Mat & Tuon) and from Tylee Khirgan (the Trolloc attack), but we don't have one from Efraim Yamada, Gamel Loune, or Mikhel Najirah (all Banner-Generals) or from Lunal Galgan (Captain-General).

Green Man 22
11-10-2011, 10:29 PM
My last post was before I read the hint about a minor army. But it could still be a Seanchan commander of a specific group. Does anyone recall who was in charge of the raken? Maybe the first POV is a flyover of the Trolloc swarm that is marching over Randland.

Linda
11-10-2011, 10:52 PM
My suggestion is one of the Andoran armies.

1: Jarid Sarand's army which is a rogue army.

2: Ellorien's army which is going to the Last Battle as part of the Andoran forces, but not pledged to Elayne.

So far you can tell it mentions Green Ajah twice, several Darkfriends, a King of Arad Doman a Queen of ????, several dates (presumably all NE), and several possible mentions of Verin (V####). Cool stuff.

Anybody have any more detailed ideas besides just notes?

That specific section looks like a description of Graendal's actions... "It was this time when she kidnapped a King of Arad Doman and a Queen of (Sharrans?) Not sure the letter count works exactly, but that would fit with Graendal's actions in the books.

There's a thread throughout the opened clues that makes me wonder if Graendal wasn't behind the studies that Deain performed just after Hawkwing's reign that dealt with the force-linking involved in the a'dam ter'angreals.

That looks about right. Either RJ originally planned for Graendal to kidnap a different ruler (Queen of Ghealdan or Cairhien) or he hadn't come up with the different terms for the rulers of Shara (Queen instead of Sh'Botay), and maybe was using a different spelling.

We don't know the exact name of the Sharran lands, do we? All I remember on that is that there were "lies" about the true name and that it had at least a half dozen or so. I'm also not sure we know the exact title that ruler would use. Entirely possible he's using correct terminology that fits the parameters.

If the series of V**** references are really Verin, the time context of TFoH (which should be just after Graendal kidnaps those two, I think) would put Verin in Two Rivers for the Perrin Sequence from TSR to LoC. The references to "the Green Ajah" might be Alannah, who was with her?

Well i saw everyone's guesses so far and it seems its gonna be either one of the 3 mercernary captains that visited elayne to try and get more money but i doubt it will be on of them coz i cant see how they will have a POV in the next book, the defenders of the stone is possible but i think they might be to big to classify as an minor army, the deathwatch guard already had a POV with the rescue of tuon so their possibly out, ghealdan's army is called the legion of the wall so that possibly, the winged guard is berelain's army dont know if that was guessed like that,so my best guesses wil be either Furyk Karede of the death watch guard, ■Estean Andiama of the part of the band that was left behind in muraudy, ■Gerard Arganda of the ghealdan forces but he's unlikely due to the fact that he's with perrin

GonzoTheGreat
11-11-2011, 10:34 AM
At the age of fourteen she went to the White Tower, where she spent six years as a novice and five years as accepted.I doubt that's a description of Cadsuane:
The difficulty was that Verin and Alanna were not part of Merana’s delegation; she had no authority over them. They had heard the news of Logain and the Reds and agreed that Elaida could not be allowed to remain in the Amyrlin Seat, yet that meant nothing. Of course, Alanna was not really a problem, only potentially. She and Merana were so close in strength that the only way to say which had the greater would be an actual contest, the sort of thing novices did until they were caught. Alanna had been six years a novice, Merana only five, but more importantly, Merana had been Aes Sedai ten years the day the midwife laid Alanna at her mother’s breast. That took care of that. Merana had precedence. No one actually thought in those terms unless something made them, but they both knew and adjusted automatically. Not that Alanna would take orders, yet instinctive deference would surely keep her in hand to some degree. That, and knowing what she had done.
Verin was the problem, the one who had Merana thinking of strengths and precedence. Merana let herself sense the other woman’s strength in the Power again, though of course she knew what she would find. No way to tell which of them was stronger. Five years as novice for each, six as Accepted; that was one thing every Aes Sedai knew about every other if she knew nothing else. The difference was that Verin was older, maybe almost as much older than she as she was older than Alanna. The touch of gray in Verin’s hair emphasized it. Had Verin been part of the embassy, there would have been no difficulty at all, but she was not, and Merana found herself listening attentively, deferring without thinking. Twice in the morning she had had to remind herself that Verin was not in charge. The only thing that made the situation tolerable was that Verin must feel she shared some of Alanna’s guilt. Without that she surely would have been in a chair as soon as anyone else, not standing beside Alanna. If only there were some way to make her remain at Culain’s Hound day and night to watch over that wonderful treasure of girls from the Two Rivers.I don't think that Cadsuane would have failed to outperform Verin and Merana in the WT.

weatherman
11-11-2011, 10:52 AM
But if it is a description of Cadsuane, the paragraph ends with:

At age 26, she was raised Aes Sedai and joins the Green Ajah. ( 14/15/16 + 6 + 4/5 equals 26 )

next paragraph:

Cadsuane was very strong in the One Power

Might consider that the FelixPax 'Valan Luca' scenario is an intentional (depending on how often BS frequents TL) red herring. I'm basing this on what collective effort on the Decoding Site has managed to reveal, of course, but there's really no suggestion so far of any link between Luca and Cadsuane.

However, there was a very recent thread involving discussion of one of BS's twitters (Questions of Trust, re; Mat Cauthon) that FelixPax seemed to have some insight on (haven't had a chance to reread that thoroughly) and could be easily associated with Cadsuane - she is Rand's advisor and probably knows next to nothing about Mat.

INTERVIEW: Apr 8th, 2001
Elf Fantasy Fair - Aan'allein

QUESTION
[Question about reading, research, sources, influences.]
ROBERT JORDAN
It's hard really for a figure that I've been researching for the Wheel of Time. I see things, I notice things. I realize, "I can use this." An example I've used to you before, but it's a good one, is that [after leaving Tanchico, Nynaeve and Elayne needed] traveling companions. I wanted them to travel with some people, rather than by themselves. I wasn't too sure exactly what sort of group I was going to use. And I happened to go to the circus.
And the circus happened to have a lot of acts that... (were) from Asia. I don't know why they seemed to have such a disproportionate number of acts from Asia. They were much different than most European circus acts and American circus acts, which are very similar to European circus acts. And when I went to my desk the next morning, I realized I knew exactly how Elayne and Nynaeve were going to travel. With Valan Luca's show.

I have read for close on to fifty years, everything I could get my hands on. Various bits and pieces have been stuck in my head. And I use them. And sometimes...and if I see anything that's interesting, and a lot of things interest me, cultural anthropology, development of cities, how a windmill works, how does a waterwheel work? these things interest me, as much as how a modern day skyscraper is built, or how do you go about building a base on the moon?, or how do you go about building an industrial facility in an L5-point? Sometimes I do research and then... Well, I know nothing about blacksmithing really...[followed by that story you've heard before] No matter what you know, if you're an expert blacksmith, I want you to read right past that blacksmith scene, and believe it. And of course very few people will be expert blacksmiths, but that's fine. Because no matter what the scene is, I want you to believe it. No matter what your own knowledge is.

INTERVIEW: Sep, 2005
Radio Dead Air Interview

ROSS
What sort of influences do you find—not just in fiction and things like that—but, as you do your research, what sort of things influence what you write?
ROBERT JORDAN
All sorts of things. Quite fascinating, I read a book called Salt, which was an actual history of salt. Fascinating book; a subject that I would not have thought would have been fascinating, but it was interesting enough that I picked up the book and read it in a night and a half, and a salt town appeared in one of the books. It was interesting enough that I said, "I'm going to have this salt town, and this next town you come to is going to be that."
ROSS
Isn't that in book ten?
ROBERT JORDAN
Yes. Crossroads of Twilight includes a visit to a town where salt is produced. And other things pop in. I needed a way for some characters to get from one place to another sort of stealthily; I wanted them to be able to move without being noticed much. And I just happened to go to a thing called the Circus Flora, which was a recreation of a 19th Century American traveling circus, a small one-ring circus. And I was fascinated by it, and as a result of going to that show, Valan Luca's traveling show appeared, the original version, which was in effect a small-time circus. It became something much larger later as he earned money and built it up, but in the start, it was a small-time circus with a few acts and a few animals, and it was a way for these characters to be able to move from one place to another because nobody noticed them; they were looking at the show.
ROSS
I do like it when influences like that make their way in. And can you point to it and say, "Oh, maybe it's squeezed out of history," or something like that, or you see something similar in a favorite author, and it's like, "Oh, that's very cool to see that sort of thing brought in."

Congrats! Now on to theorizing...

It just occurred to me that they could be the ones putting the torch to Caemlyn...who better to sneak in to deliver a little payback (though Elenia was given mercy in TofM, so maybe not).

This army is part of Mats Band of the Red Hand under Talmanes, and when they invade Andor its to save Caemlyn and Mats dragons from the Trollocs.

On an interesting note, it would appear to me that the running theme of people (Nynaeve's group, Mat's group) using the circus to travel incognito might have been utilized by Cadsuane as well.

Both Valan Luca and Cadsuane were at the calling of the Hunt in Illian; Cadsuane remarks that she would have liked to take the Oath for the Hunt, had the Council let her, and we know from Luca's account that he was there as well, though any meeting between them is unmentioned.

At this point in time, she was hunting Logain, and Logain has already built an army... Valan's circus would have been a great cover for a group of Aes Sedai to sneak into Logain's encampment and get him out.

They would have had to travel the Silver Road between Lugard and Illian.

This would also explain the reference to the Wild Hunt.

Things to consider.

The Wild Hunt refers to hunting with Darkhounds.

It's also the metaphorical equivalent in Norse mythology to the Hunt for the Horn.

Two possible contexts, anyway, not committed to either now that you mention that.

I have notes on characters, on countries, cultures, customs, all sorts of things. Aes Sedai—I have two files of two megabytes or so on each. One's just lists of individual Aes Sedai and information about them. The other is the founding of the White Tower—the customs, the cultures, the sexual relationships among Aes Sedai in training, the whole nine yards. Everything I could think of that might be useful about them. The story isn't there. None of it is on a file anywhere, there are no charts.
On the question on how he could keep track of every person, culture, nation etc., Robert Jordan answered that he had a file for every person, nation, city, culture etc describing it. In the case of persons traumatic experiences, origin, favorite foods and colors, family, education etc is stored. Every person that appears several times, or has the chance to appear several times has a such file. Similar information is stored on the other entities. This information is used to flesh out the characters etc and make them three-dimensional before the book itself is written.

And he left behind tapes, recordings, which were then dictated and transcribed and given to me, of him just talking about the last book and what he wanted to be in it. And the important events, and the important scenes, and all these things. All these materials were. . . you know, you've got a file here that's only got a few paragraphs in it, and a file here that's thirty pages long, and a file here, and a file here. Dozens of different files, just scattered all over the place, some about all these characters, and some about 'oh this scene needs to happen'. And then lots and lots and lots and lots of notes of how everybody ends up. The thing we have I think the most information on is, the two things: the world itself, everything in the world, all the characters. And then, how everything has to be. We know very specifically lots about how the world is going to end up.

Just to give you an idea of the depth of what's going on in these books, and the level of detail that Robert Jordan put into them: there was one point where I was working on a character, working on a scene. And I was just having trouble keeping track of all the characters that were involved in the scene, just all the different names and all the different personalities, and things like this.
So I emailed one of Robert Jordan's assistants, and I said, "Is there a file or something that explains everybody who's here that's going to be in the scene so that I can keep them all straight?" And a few minutes later I got back an email from Alan who said, "Well I found this, buried in some notes somewhere." And it said 'with. . . ', and then it listed the name of the character. And I’m like, oh good, it's a file called 'who's with this character'. That's exactly what I needed.
I opened it up, and what this file contained was a list of dozens and dozens, maybe hundreds, of names of people who hadn't yet appeared in the books, who were just members of this character's army, who were just there. Robert Jordan had named them all, and in many cases he'd listed their profession, a little bit about them, what they looked like. Now I had to keep track of all these other people who he hadn't even named yet. They hadn't even appeared in the book, fans didn't know about them, and I've got dozens of names of people to keep track of that he had spent the time to go through and say, all right, what are the names of all these people who might just walk by in the background.
We were told that Harriet has said that Jordan has left more in notes than in the series itself! Brandon then related a story about how he needed to know who was traveling with Perrin. He asked RJ’s assistants to look to see if there was a file with that info. A few days later he received an email titled “traveling with Perrin.” Unfortunately it listed every single person from the Two Rivers and their occupation who was traveling with Perrin. Some hadn’t even appeared in the books!
I was confused about who was with Perrin, so I asked Charleston for a file with every one of the Two Rivers characters, who's with them. They sent over a file of a complete list of Two Rivers folk with Perrin, most of whom hadn't even been mentioned, and it had things like their names, relations, and for most of them, what they did in the army.
.

Since the clues seem to reference the document, I'm speculating it as a reference to either Aes Sedai outside the Tower or specifically Cadsuane's Ajah.

I would go under the assumption that it is something non-Aes-Sedai channelers can do, since it is fairly established in book 10 "What the oath rod can do" that the ageless appearance is the only material difference between Aes Sedai and other channelers, and dying prematurely due to the three oaths would not be considered an ability.

Rand and Taim can both ignore heat/cold. Rand can sense shadowspawn. The Kin have longevity. Nicola had her Talents (Foretelling and Detect Ta'veren).

There is one thing that channelers can do that I haven't seen yet mentioned: controlling/being controlled by a'dam.

yks 6nnetu hing
11-15-2011, 08:11 AM
a'dam is using the One Power though, as are most ter'angreals (all ter'angreals? not all need the power to operate, I know that much but do they all use the power?). In any case, seems a bit unlikely.

Dreaming is one, definitely as that doesn't have anything to do with OP but is associated with AS. How about visiting T'A'R? it's something AS can do, some with the help of ter'angreals (plus, there's the ter'angreal that works even on non-channelers) but it's not limited to them.

Then thre's the trick with the heat, cold and other physical sensations such as pain or tiredness. No-one's mentioned sweating yet, so that could be it... or rather, the lack of sweating could be it. Then thre's also the unflappability of AS, although we allknow by now that that's just a front in most cases, besides the Aiel are loads better at it.

There are a couple of reasons for mentioning the a'dam. First is that even Siuan and Leane, pre-healed, could use the a'dam in a limited capacity to sense a damane's feelings (Moghedien). Second is that in a Q&A, Brandon confirmed that the a'dam would most likely work in Far Madding, though the damane could not channel. So the a'dam probably does not require active use of the One Power, at least for some of its functions.

What a bunch of complainers y'all are :p Go read books by other authors who offer no fan interaction, no insight into their writing styles, no background once their series are done. You should all BE THANKFUL that we are being given this GIFT from Brandon, Team Jordan and Harriet...we still have STUFF from RJ. Get it?

It is a nice piece on Caddy, and a great EXAMPLE of the types of notes RJ kept. Do you all understand that there are probably HUNDREDS of these? And we may, if we are lucky, get to read them eventually!!! You understand that when we turn that final page of the last book, there is still a glimmer of MORE for us?????

The codes are interesting in themselves and that would be enough for some of us. They open up a whole new way of looking at RJs thought processes while writing.

Personally, I am thrilled by all of this. And it isn't over, guessing the codes is fun & enlightening. Not to mention the actual Hunt in which so many folks have been, and still will be, participants.

Nice job on the decode and THANK YOU for sharing/including us with all your work :)

I really enjoyed the decoding project. Great job Terez and everyone else involved.

I liked the fact that we got some real facts about Cadsuane, as much of her description in the book has come from others who aren't really sure if their opinions or impressions are true. RJ's notes are definitely facts about her, and it is amazing how detailed he was in building his characters.

Hope they do another one prior to the book release!

I have no complaints with the 'prize' that comes from decoding; it offers a great deal of insight to Cadsuane's character beyond mere impression and gives us something even better - insight into RJ's filing system!

Both could be considered shills for an encyclopedia of his notes post-AMoL, but honestly... some of that stuff just makes me want to see that reach print almost as much as AMoL itself.

I recall reading at some point, that RJ stated he had no intention of resolving all plots by the end of the series, and it's entirely possible that we won't find that in the notes either...

... however, what has been left unsaid in the series, all the theory-fuel and speculative interest, is worth happily drooling over.

Until now, I hadn't really thought much of the idea of a book offering behind-the-scenes looks. Most published material of that nature, IMO, presents itself as the author's self-pleasuring or milking a cash cow.

Good stuff, and I had a lot of fun in the decoding effort as well.

I was never a big Cadsuane fan, and the reveal seemed a bit dull to me. But better than nothing, certainly, although not nearly as exciting as the release last year.

I do hope Team Jordan releases some of RJ's notes after the novels are all published; while I've never liked Cadsuane very much, there are certainly some characters whom I'd love to see their history. Anyone have an idea of how likely this is?

I don't think many fans or critics would make that argument with RJ. Part of my enjoyment with the series is how detailed and organized he is. I had read most of the Sword of Truth series prior to starting the WoT, and when I started reading the WoT I was instantly amazed at the amazing amount of detail and history put into the characters, the organizations, the cities, and the countries.

Before reading the WoT, I was able to read and enjoy most the Sword of Truth books. After, WoT, they were rubbish in comparison. I think the biggest differences were RJ's attention to detail and the fact that he had the end mapped out in his head, whereas that other fellow (I won't use his name here) kind of made everything up as he went along (and kept contradicting himself in the process). RJ is my favorite author as he is a throwback himself to an earlier generation of authors who understood that writing is a complex and detail-oriented profession.

I have a really hard time finding new authors with that same detailed writing style. It is kind of like fiction has gone "Hollywood" on us. They don't care about a good story, just about selling the most books. They are willing to sacrifice quality for quantity. The two are not mutually exclusive, but they are a rare combination in our day. RJ was awesome.

It is hard to put a price on the amount of enjoyment I could get out of being able to read more of RJ's notes. I'd certainly shell out more than we pay for a normal book for that opportunity.

I get that message periodically, I think it might be due to the # of people accessing it at one time. Maybe some one can copy/paste it to this thread?

It has been discussed, and seems more likely given that these notes have been revealed. In the past, Harriet has said it probably wouldn't happen since RJ was hesitant to share his raw unpolished writings, and she does have the final say on this.

anybody know of anything the Aes Sedai can do without the OP other than the hot&cold trick? or any actual name to that trick?Channelers can also do the kerchief trick with the Warder bond, while non-channelers can't, presumably for the same reason (that is, presumably those who have to access the Void on a regular basis to use the Power will have an easier time with these higher-consciousness concentration tricks). But it doesn't make sense to say the Warder bond has nothing to do with the Power, and it's kind of obscure.

I just came back from the London signing and someone found the code hidden in a Terry Pratchett book right in front of me.

Brandon said that there is still more to be revealed in the Great Hunt which will become apparent when more codes are entered. I believe he also mentioned that there would be another Great Hunt before AMoL.

Just been to the signing in the UK: met Brandon, everything was awesome :D
He signed my copy of Alloy of Law, and Towers of Midnight.

In Towers of Midnight, he also wrote "Iron to bind."

Can anyone make anything of this? I'm not sure if it's a clue, or just something he wrote for the hell of it. Clearly it relates to the Finn, Snakes and Foxes, and the Tower of Ghenjei, and all that stuff - I've tried a few things, but haven't landed on any result: is it actually a clue, does anyone know?

The theme that links the clues together.

You can check that the code is a real one by entering it on the Great Hunt page. If it's a correct code that has already been entered, you get the message, "This phrase has allready been applied." ;) (And yes, 'already' is spelled incorrectly on the page.)

Interesting. I wonder why it's still the Cadsuane thing if there is more to be revealed. We might have missed a word or two but I doubt we missed anything major.

And now we know what else is to be revealed, or at least a portion of it. Code 35 unlocked material below the Cadsuane section (http://brandonsanderson.com/thegreathunt):

FORSAKEN EVENTS

None of the Forsaken know that Osan’gar (Corlan Dashiva) is dead, but they know he’s vanished. They are pretty much sure that Sammael is dead, because he isn’t the type to remain in hiding, but think Asmodean might well be hiding out until he can figure a way to return safely. They know that Rahvin and Be’lal are dead, though some at least suspect reincarnation as Aran’gar and Osan’gar. Most have worked out that Moridin is Ishamael.

So this is apparently information from the first code, one of the entries from RJ's notes (or at least a portion). I wonder if we'll get all 35 of these, or just snippets...
