Um, how the hell are you surprised that it isn't currently illegal? Hello. Politicians here.

I'd just like to point out that I hate CBS, ABC and NBC's website links on my iPhone because it goes to a list of stories and not the actual story, so until I get to a computer I can't read what you linked. Thanks Steve!!

Lots of little annoyances together is why I hate apple.

On the insider trading thing though:
I'm pretty sure the bond market lets everyone trade on insider info.
So, American mortgages, European bonds, and tons of other markets can be legally fucked with.

Like Goldman and the junk mortgage shit they pulled.

I thought it very interesting when I saw the actual 60 Minutes program on that, and even further that it was definitely both sides of the political fence doing it. Just goes to show you that no political party is any better "for the people" than any other in government. They highlighted both Pelosi and Boehner in the TV program, and Pelosi actually blew up more. It was very clear she didn't like being asked about it all after the close scrutiny of her insider trading of credit card stock while she was "fighting" them for the little guy.

You forgot the part where she was shaking and white faced.

Not sure if it was fear or rage, though....

I must have missed 60 minutes...what are you saying? Throw them all out into the rain?

I could go for that.

Its actually very similar to how the US Government functioned during the Gilded Age. Corporate interests run the country with a supposedly elected government that is simply in their pocket financially. The current multi-nationals are no different than the Rockefellers, Carnegies, Mellons, Vanderbilts, etc. They're all just robber-barons.

Somehow though, I dont see another Teddy Roosevelt coming around to "fix" things even in the slightest. Teddy could do it because he was old money, he was a "1 percenter" in today's language, he was just ripping his own class and he didn't owe anyone anything. I dont see that sort of outside figure gaining power in today's system.

Also, to Bryan's point...I agree, both sides suck equally here. Its not a Dem vs. GOP thing here...its rich vs. poor.

If it was a rich vs. poor thing, then OWS would have an easy time putting together their demands. The problem is that it's a me vs. them mentality in the movement. If it was us vs. them it would have more functionality, and if it was rich vs. poor it would probably be even more functional....or at least as much a an us vs. them movement. As it stands now, each individual is putting up their own set of demands. It's totalyl dysfunctional for that reason.

Sei, can I summarise what you say as: "socialism good, individualism bad"?

It has nothing to do with your phone and everything to do with how they built their sites. It's likely their site made for mobile use that is screwed up.

I get the same treatment when I try using that link on my Smartphone. A HTC Desire. Android phone.
