Working on the theory that even really shitty movies have a couple of minutes of really good stuff in them, I'm going to post some of my favorite scenes from different movies. I'm hoping y'all will post some of yours.

I'm not a fan of Stallone, but I love this movie. This is one of my favorite scenes.

Victory (Pele bicycle kick for a goal) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erQdTUdeABI)

I always thought this movie blew serious ass, but it's got the best shootout scene ever.

Heat (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZL9fnVtz_lc)

Desperado Not a great movie, this is a great scene though (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0A7lGXylXz0)

LotR, Ride of the Rohirrim. Great movie, Great scene (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmTz7EAYLrs)

Reservoir Dogs (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RO23-EthGQ4) Sometimes, you gotta shoot your way out.

Since on the basis of your last two entries you are also including good movies, here's two great scenes from arguably the greatest movie ever made.

Sei took mine with the Ride of the Rohirrim. Easily my favorite scene. Granted, I always liked scenes like that.

Well, here's a another of my favorites though, from the same movie, Argorn's speech "It is not this day!"

There's a really awesome scene in Enchanted (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAsG__XjU8Q) - demonstrates the real-life application of Disney cartoon-logic.

Is it just me or does his voice go weird at that line?

Here's one of mine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oMnGRec-nA&feature=related (It ends in the middle of him saying "and for what else in mine".)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DJC-ECU8IE This one I like because it contrasts so well with how they are treated by whitefellas later in the film.

I don't actually watch that many movies...

Here's another favourite scene - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ev_v3xgxMTg - from another film. The darker-haired lady reminds me of Verin...

Kung Fu Hustle...Terrible movie, but one of my favorites. There are som amny good scenes I had to choose from. I picked this one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9rIyE9V-BQ).

Bullitt. The greatest car chase ever made (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWgR2vYE2_o). Again, terrible movie, but I think this makes it much better.

And I roll laughing every time I see this. The left right combo is hilarious. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMfZ3R4Q0m0)

Glad someone likes Victory other than me. Loved the Pele' bicycle kick scene.

Can't access Youtube here at work, but some personal faves would be Indiana Jones shooting the Middle Eastern scimitar dude.

The French taunting in Quest for the Holy Grail.

The entirety of Full Metal Jacket.

The Indian sales clerk in 40 Year Old Virgin.

One of my favorites, that really grew on me, was "Flushed Away." There are a ton of good scenes in this one.

My personal go-to favorite is the High Five (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGRVT9u4L8Y). But that's really short, so...

I couldn't find the scene from the actual movie, but here's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBfJ5UNMxxs)the song from the scene in question. Apparently Hugh Jackman made it up while filming the scene and they just ran with it.

On the theme of bad movies with good scenes, here's the climax to one of the funniest in "Jingle All the Way. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mayCvk2P4f0&feature=related)"

It's a dumb movie overall (but I still like it), but here's why you don't piss off a Grammaton Cleric.

I love Equilbrium. It's a no-nonsense action flick :) No jumping behind the couch and shooting at each other for 10 minutes. Just blam blam, swisch swisch. Done. :)

Another great film by Bale is American Psycho. This scene where he professes the greatness of Huey and the News to his victim (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwicLgOGJOI) is fabulous. The business card scene (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qoIvd3zzu4Y) is also just fantastic. You got to read the book to really appreciate it all.

I love Equilbrium.

It is a horrible dumbed-down-to-idiot-level flashed-up-to-ADHD-level unoriginal adaptation of "1984". With some action added, because any story is "better with lots of blood and gore".

If you've never seen this movie and you love sports, then you need to watch it.

Baseketball. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isxjMBauX64&feature=related) With a little Trek reference for good fun.

Dodgeball (http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=sk2fXsnzirI&feature=endscreen). I don't know why I like ths movie, but I do.

Dumb and Dumber. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=EAIfGYAhwQA&feature=endscreen) Because I couldn't find the fart lighting scene

Breakfast club. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCx5zN-aPhU) Sorry for the quality, it was the only one I could find

Superbad (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RnqD59b_Iw) NSFW

Some movies just don't have a scene like that. Like The Last Airbender or Dragonball Evolution. Or most of the movies that they watch in MST3K.

Only movie scene I am aware of that made Seitaer, SoE and their sister jump. According to their Mom. In the movie "Rear Window" when Raymond Burr breaks through the door behind Jimmy and Grace.

See, that's so hokey and dumb that it's awesome. Especially when the car runs up on the curb going really slow and they pretend to get jostled around.

Why do I get the feeling that if I asked, you would be one of those people that would say Napoleon Dynamite is so bad it's good? Because some bad movies simply do not have a good scene. At all. Some are so bad, that on one episode of MST3K, they showed a woman get shot and killed, and a few scenes later showed her working at the computer. The main heroine looked old enough to be the main hero's mother. The only good thing about the movie is when it ended.

I think stuff like that's hilarious. I wouldn't pay to see it, but I'd definitely do an MST3K type show to make fun of it. You can still have fun and enjoy really shittty movies if you have a way to make it fun, like MST does.

Anything Paul Bettany does is pure gold.

I remember an interview that Paul did promoting M&C. His wife Jennifer Connolly had just given birth.

There he mentioned where his sons name came from:
"I named him Stellan after (the swedish actor) Stellan Skarsgård. Because he is a good friend and a great drinker."

He retells the story:

PB: "So Stellan, I'm naming our new boy Stellan after you."

SS: (Thinks for a few seconds) "Does that mean I get to suck on your wifes breasts?" :D
