Anyone ever discussed the relevance or otherwise of Isam's ability go into the Tower of Genjei when in T'A'R. I'm no thinking that the finns would simply allow him to hop in and out on a whim.

I don't know for sure if he actually can. Perrin sees him disappear near the Tower, but we don't know for sure if he actually went in.

RJ actually said it's impossible to enter it there. Which seems to contradict Birgitte, but there's nothing to say she was being entirely truthful.

It's possible Birgitte misspoke out of ignorance but it's more likely that Slayer wanted to trick Perrin into entering the tower.

Maybe Slayer (and Birgitte) knew something that RJ didn't?
Admitted weak point: Valan Luca hadn't appeared, yet.

It was likely a trap and Slayer just vanished in the usual tel'aran'rhiod way. However, that implies that it is possible to enter, and Perrin may have stumbled on the way to do so somehow.

In chapter 33, A New Weave in the Pattern, Luc is surprsied to see Perrin. He expected him to have vanished or be dead.

Valan Luca is the only character who knows things that RJ doesn't. You can tell by the cape.

Does Thom's cloak count?
