I read this wonderful article about the great Chinese historian Sima Qian. While reading it, I came across these words famously (at least in China) attributed to him:

"A man has only one death. That death may be as weighty as Mount Tai or it may be as light as a goose feather. It all depends on the way he uses it."

Remind you of anything???

You just know that RJ knew about this. The man was a genius.

I always wondered if RJ knew that Aiel was Anglo-french for grandfather. Maybe a bit obscure, but I like to think he did.
