The very first thing that crossed my mind was the novel, Oath of Fealty, by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle. Marvelous story, and had some interesting speculation on the culture that might form in a completely self-sustained arcology like this.

Wow.

In my Sociology class, we took a digital tour of Dubai and it is amazing. I mean, the private islands shaped like the world? Amazing... :D

That's mind boggling. How amazing, and even moreso that it's sustainable.

Yeah, a skyscraper fire is a deathsentence to those on the top floor, no matter your sprinkler system. I can only imagine what that's going to be like.

Holy Futuristic Batman! That is awesome! It is about time someone started seriously using our technology to harness renewable resources. And of course Dubai would have the money and creativity to do that.

I have absolutely no negative comments- and I hope it is a whopping success!

Go Ziggurat!
