This came up on a thread over on reddit, and I came up with an idea on how to get AS demane to use the OP as a weapon.

If you wanted to get super devious you could line up 100 AS demane and 100 convicts. Walk up to the first and say, kill this man with the power, or you will die. AS cant due to oaths. Stab her. Next AS now knows that her life is in real danger and can save her life by using the OP as a weapon. Now for every battle you have to qualify that the demane will die if they do not follow orders, and they have to believe it.

Trouble is: if during a battle they think it is possible that the other side would win, then they suddenly would lose the ability to use the OP in combat. Which would make it a lot more likely that that other side would indeed win.

If the other side was winning, then the AS's life would still be in danger, and they could still channel.

If the other side would win, they could execute anyone who had killed a captive AS, as well as any AS who had fought on. They could also either take over the leash of that AS, or release her. Thus, an enemy who was smart enough for the possibility of winning would make sure that the AS knew that her chances of survival if she stopped fighting were better than if she continued.

It might take a while before this was fully in place, but on the other hand, it wouldn't take all that long compared to the lifespan of AS.

Have the Aes Sedai bond soldiers as Warders. They're allowed to use the OP to protect their Warders. Plus you have the added advantage of stronger soldiers due to the Warder bond.

True, but until you've properly tamed her, it might be a problem that she would be able to compel those Warders to release her. Then again, no AS would think of doing so, and letting her use offensive weaves before she is properly tamed should only be done under careful supervision anyway.

PS Welcome to the board.
