Not impressed. I don't really agree with the opinion as a lot of action scenes have been ruined by overly drawn out "tactics". There's this underlying assumption for hindsight level thought capabilities on the characters part yet complete disregard for the emotions displayed. The blogger didn't like the scene and is attempting to rationalize the emotion with this over simplified analysis. A case of "haters gonna hate".

I agree that the Abaddon fight was anticlimactic.

Yes, but it's more a case of how than what. Different filming angles could have done a lot for that scene. It was a lot more poor direction than poor writing.

Not sure how different angles would change the fact that she simply stood still and let Dean stab her :p

Felt out-of-character too.
