NASA apparently is now confident that there is not just water on Mars, but flowing water. It is assumed to be very briny though. So, thoughts? Life?

Worth checking out.

$10 bucks says Conservative Christian Congress kills funding for any such exploration.

Investigation comes with its own risks. NASA decided to not have the rover investigate it up close out of fear that if there were any organisms living in the brine, that they might be contaminated.

Water means life...maybe at least. I'd bet there is some sort of life there as well as on Titan. A shame that we can't fund science anymore because it has a clear Liberal agenda.

Man I was so excited when I heard about it! To think that there is actual flowing water on Mars. And we thought previously it was a dry, barren wasteland! I just hope NASA can get more funding. Although... what's to stop them from going to the public? The Planetary Society already did that with their cube says, and the privatisation of space is coming soon. What's to stop NASA from seeking crowd funding, if the budget falls through?

Totally blows up the plot of The Martian...clearly NASA wanted to sabotage what looks like a very good movie.

If Donald Trump bought his own world, would that be a good thing?

That sounds like more of a Whole Foods thing...maybe they could infuse it with asparagus.

Rush Limbaugh thinks that the water on mars will be used to further the "leftist agenda" and he doesn't know how but assumed it'll be about global warming

This is fantastically hilarious to me

Not sure how reliable politico is, so I guess, grain of salt

Because now drinking water will give your pee the same smell as eating asparagus does!

That does have the advantage of not having to eat asparagus. Of course, why you would want your pee to smell like that isn't exactly clear to me either, but I'm sure someone can find a reason.

Imagine what we could do/discover if we could just stop fighting and go exploring!

I hear there's oil on Mars...if we keep saying that, we'd probably be there by next Thursday at the latest.

No that's when the propaganda on Martian terrorists goes up.

What's key to know is are the Martian terrorists using Toyotas and, if so, where are they getting them from.

I wish I was kidding but that's the top story on CNN today...the US edition at least.

Hmm, maybe its because Toyota is the most popular brand of vehicle in that part of the world and there arent a ton of Ford/Chevy dealers in Iraq/Syria. No, it must be something more sinister.

Saw that "story" on yahoo news, I ignored it. Also, yahoo news comments section seems to be full of people that must have had a miracle to figure out how to even turn on a computer, much less use it.

Top Gear had an episode were they tried to put an old Toyota truck through as much punishment as possible to show just how durable they are. Something tells me Toyota enjoyed that publicity more than this though...

Toyota trucks are pretty badass. If I had to be in the desert with limited to no maintenance, I'd take a Toyota truck...or a Landrover Defender maybe.
