Albeit not one that can be seen as such from Earth; it happens a bit farther away (http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap160508.html). Still, it is a phenomenon that is nice to see, once in a while. This one even happens at a convenient time of they day and it seems to have picked reasonable weather too. Quite a difference from the 2012 Venus transit, which happened horribly early in the morning and then was invisible because of rain anyway.

Well, yes, but only a little bit. The Sun's light will be diminished by 0.004%, which is not really a lot. Still, it will indeed be a bit colder on Earth, on average.
