The Arno and the Seine both are having pretty massive issues. Florence's seems less severe (thankfully, as I'm taking students there in a little over a week), and perhaps unrelated to the recent deluge of rain, though still alarming. The flooding in Paris is apparently alarming enough to shut the Musee d'Orsay and the Louvre.

Have you heard about Texas? They've been getting flooded out! 15 million people under flood watch.

Even have family there that have gotten fed up with all the flooding and heading back to the Front Range.

Nonsense!

If this were really happening, it would be a consequence of Global Warming. Since all the loudest right wing pundits declare that's just a left wing hoax, it is clear beyond reasonable doubt that no flooding actually took place at all. Unless the right wing is dishonest; I'm mentioning this possibility merely to be complete, of course.

Well, duh, Gonzo. Obviously the personified Arnus and Sequanus are both demonic eco-terrorists. Clearly Jesus just needs to water-board (whether this will work on aquatic deities is another question) those terrorists to find out how many of us liberals are collaborating with the demons.

And think, just 5 years after Governor Perry led his Pray for Rain event (http://www.cbsnews.com/news/texas-gov-rick-perry-proclaims-days-of-prayer-for-rain/), the Good Lord has responded to his prayers.

Truly, HIS ways are mysterious.
