Thanks Terez.

Terez, a few more questions:

Did you see other weaves, besides Traveling, that noted the amount of Power on the OP strength scale that was needed to make the weave work (for the majority of channelers)? Possibly balefire, Compulsion, etc.

Was Caressing the Child noted as a Talent? or a Weave?

Was blocking a gateway noted as a Talent? I assume it is effectively a Talent, but it seems to be incredibly rare.

That might be part of having Travelling as a Talent, rather than merely something you can do if you're strong enough. Just as Nynaeve can do things in the area of Healing that are well outside what most others can manage, even if they have a similar amount of power available.

Not that we have found. Brandon has said publicly that Demandred's backstory in Shara was all him.

Aside from what Brandon came up with and what Jordan had already stated in the books and Big White Book, was there anything else Jordan indicated regarding Shara or its culture in the notes that did not appear in the story til KOD?

Thanks Terez

Not much, no. We only found one Shara file, and judging by the Companion entry, that's the only Shara file that was in the notes. Most of the information was included in the Companion in one way or another; the only exception is a few paragraphs that RJ had set aside for maybe using in Noal's stories.

SHARA: (for possible Jain Farstrider comments)

Lots of things he didn't understand. Every town had two palaces, only not exactly palaces. One full of men in robes, the other of women. These men and women never married. Men would visit the one 'palace' full of men; women the 'palace' full of women. Vice versa not allowed, except for king and queen. The men and the women meet in public places and for public ceremonies. Robed men and women seemed equal to nobles, but he saw them begging by the roadside, too. Actually, these men and women appear to think they stand above the nobles, perhaps above the king or queen. They form the bureaucracy, and perform all weddings. They keep extensive records on everything, with the sole exception of the Ayyad. There isn't anything in the country that isn't recorded and tabulated. These records seem to be completely duplicated by both the men and the women in these palaces, with copies of everything sent to the corresponding palaces in the capital city, which no outsider has ever seen.

King alternate with queens, though not called that. Say they have a king. He rules absolutely; completely absolutely, with no restraint. at the end of seven years, the king always dies, and she immediately remarries, on the very same day. For seven years she rules absolutely, after which she dies, her husband succeeds, and the pattern begins again.
Etc.
