The Egg by Andy Weir A Short Story

I have read and reread this short story several times and it makes me think each time...is this possible?

Here is the link to the story. It has links to translations in a couple of dozen languages.

What do you guys think?

I couldn't read it in Esperanto. Which, admittedly, is probably explainable by the fact that I don't know that language.

I have just read it in English (only tried Esperanto afterwards). It's a fairly well paced story, short enough that the fact that it is predictable isn't a problem.

It is possible in the sense that there doesn't seem to be any way of proving it wrong. However, there doesn't seem to be any reason for believing it to be correct, either.

I like it. Initially I wondered how it explains twins, but then there is at least a few minutes between each birth.

It's a good metaphor for treating the rest of humanity with some fucking decency tho.

I thought it was good. As Gonzo said, short and predictable though.

Kinda pretentious of the author to translate it into that many languages. Especially Esperanto.
