Default How do you like the new Alliance

These people are very nice... but a lot of us only get requests for runs on missions, or to outposts.... Theres no Elite stuff going on, HM, Dungeons.... are some of us just missing the good times to be on? It's basically like we can help them if we want to play with them but they aren't far enough along to help us. Not their fault, just sayin....

Hehe Seem said it best "I feel like a guild snob" LOL

Edit: I left it private so you dont feel funny answering

my first and only experience so far involves one of our allies ripping me off for some ele tomes, so I can't say I'm all that positive at the moment.

We've been in the new alliance, what, three days now? I say give it some time. We probably haven't seen everyone yet anyways.

true, but its also been 3 days and nothing usefuls come about for any of us, lol. And Sweets gonna be gone for a while to move or somethin. I really don't care, I don't often play with other guilds unless they are doing something I want to do too...

I think that is more a problem with what people think they can get away with in GW, rather than the alliance. I hate to say it, but I like the non-global worlds with shards/servers. People are more apt to know one another and therefore have a reputation to preserve. And therefore act more civil.

Mazrim Taim drew the eye. He was tall, with a strongly hooked nose and an air of physical strength about him. An air of darkness, too. He sat there with his ankles crossed and one arm hanging over the heavy arm of the throne, yet he seemed ready to explode into violence. Interestingly, though his black coat was embroidered with blue-and-gold dragons that twined around the sleeves from elbows to cuffs, he did not wear the collar pins.

lol I did say that, but there was a reason behind it. Through most of my gw career I have considered myself to be ,ahem , a noob. However , scince joining HoH i have been playing with alot of seasoned / expeirenced players and now I seem to be along ingame quite far. I no longer get quite the excitement out of beating easy missions. I want to do more HM stuff and the alliance ,while having alot of people who can do them, has more members just trying to get their first toon through the game on NM. Most of my time with them so far has been spent helping new players than actually advancing my game skills/titles/etc. I have played with a few of them before when we were in the LOLS alliance and we did HM dungeons and missions and they are good people. Alas, none of the good stuff has started yet but I'm willing to give it more time. JUST NOT FOREVER!

Hmm, well I honestly, if I thought Sweet was the only Mover and Shaker of the HM and Brutally Difficult missions and dungeons for the CP alliance, I would have waited a few weeks if necessary just to have her return before putting forth the effort to join her alliance. But what's done is done. The only other annoyance is the frequent music lyrical spamming from some of the CP guild. I'm assuming they're listening to a music channel on their vent or something and felt "the need" to share lyrics to the rest of the alliance *ugh.* So far, that's the only reason I've had to turn off the alliance chat.

*Side Note* The valve on my toilet broke this morning, so there was nothing to keep the water from exploding into the tank, and it flooded much of the house. Don't be surprised if I'm not on for about two weeks. ServPro came and went, a lot of carpet thrown out, and a whole bunch of loud blowers sit on both floors of the house. My room and my mom's quiliing/sewing room were the only rooms unaffected.

Default Well, ahem, I hope I didn't get us thrown out,

but I really dislike little tinpot dictators, and I think they and the people around need to be shown the error of their ways.

I wonder if the guy checked with Silver Fox before he declared that he was going to protect her in Kat's absence by throwing out any guild who have a member who's giving Silver Fox grief........tinpot dictator and white knight....terrible combination/

Default Hmmm, well, not too bad yet

I have to agree with you all. They seem like good people, but there doesn't seem to be anyone but us really doing the hard stuff.

Sharp, Seem, Seal and I (just realized I should have a name starting with "S" for this post) did Rand/Thomis the other night. When we finished there were about 6 TCP members in Umbral. We inquired what they were up to and the response was just hanging. I've advertised dungeons and end game stuff in alliance and I have had extremely few takers, including none for the Rand run, which went quite well, btw.

I have had good luck in getting alliance help for the NM missions and quests. I generally post when I am doing missions and I usually get allies to come. They seem very nice and fun to play with. I even got one to run me through killing Shiro to end Factions. There are even Wotaholics in the alliance. I had a long chat late one night about KoD with a few members of the alliance when they saw me write as Ethan AlThor.

And, I kind of feel like Seem said. I have generally felt like a noob in GW even with almost years in the game. But, now I am starting to think that is just a product of the high quality of our members. I have had several "experienced" member of the alliance make me feel like a guru. It was awkward. I helped one kid do Destruction Depths and met him in the Eye. Yeah, well, turns out he meant Heart of the Shiverpeakes. We did it, though it would have been helpful to know that when I was choosing a build and heroes.

Anyway, I say we keep giving it a try for a while. They did have an informal meeting online with Light attended for us, thank the Light it wasn't me getting bored to death at it. The product of the meeting was that they would try to organize more hard stuff. Though follow through is always the issue.

So, the alliance is a group of newcomers to the game, eh?

Never thought I'd feel OLD in a video game.

Well I just now voted for the slot that says they're not helping us...took me this long to figure it out. Being out of an alliance is just as good, in my opinion, as being in an alliance that doesn't do much in difficult areas.

And when they DO go to some difficult areas, they take FOREVER to form groups. It took a good 45 mins before we went to Urgoz, and the BiP necro didn't know when to use consume corpse properly.

And a recent UW trip took them 1 hour to form.

to quote Zae, "USELESS!!!"

I have been playing with the alliance recently(More CP than not).I have done the Deep a few times and Urgoz once and things went well. The Alliance seems pretty solid right now. We do lose Guilds once in awhile but all in all the core Guilds are there.

Also a few rules have been changed. Swearing is allowed in ally chat and on vent. The use vent alot. So when yer online and wanna join up with some peeps give a shout out to the alliance.

That is all,move along.
