Default My friend has a book deal!

Here is his website. I dropped you in the middle, because I think this little blurb is funny, and tells a lot about Jeff (we all called him Hugie). Check it out!

Good for him! I read his Ghost of Dave Wallace post and it made me smile. I'll check out more later when I'm not sneaking on TL from work...

If his books are as funny as his blogs, then he has a good thing going.

Wow, tell your friend congratulations.

It's tough to take the craft seriously. Bryan would probably claim I don't yet, either. LOL

Thanks, everybody. To SonofElvis for posting the link, and to everyone else for the kind words. Rest assured, my novel is at least marginally funny. If you like pitch black humor that is.

Best,
Jeff

Cool, sounds interesting. Is there a plan for an e-book? I hope so, otherwise I'm not sure I'll be able to read it unless it's going to be released in Sweden. So much easier shipping digital words than analogue ones.

Look at that! We have a Star in our midst. A real honest to goodness writer type dude. Your book had better be good or we'll treat you like Terry "the Yeard" Goodkind. You don't have a yeard do you?

Yep. They will be releasing e-books at the same time as the hardcover, or shortly after.

Ha! No, I couldn't pull that off even if I wanted to. Started losing the hair around 22, and been shaving bald ever since. So that's one less way I can embarrass myself. Though that still leaves a lot on the table.

Strange, I never understood that Pitch Black (the movie) was a comedy.

Indeed. I had a friend that laughed his ass off during The Cell. He also thought the pen stabbing scene in Casino was pretty funny...although he would have preferred if a mechanical pencil was actually used.

People find the funny in the funniest places. The needle stab through the stermum in Pulp Fiction made me laugh.

I can still remember it; sitting there in the theatre, everyone is grossed out by the guy getting cut open. The evil dude reaches in pulls the other guy's intestines out & puts it up on the spiky windlass thing...and there's my friend laughing his ass off.

Yeah, that was a strange moment.

Some folks laugh nervously when they encounter something horrific or gross beyond belief. Other folks laugh because they are really broken and disturbed. But hey, I appreciate both.

I laughed at the Joker's "magic trick" in the Dark Knight.
