Default Rand's "channeling sickness"

I may be the only one interested in this - in which case, this will be a terribly short thread. Anyway.

I have recently been notified that it's a commonly-held assumption that "Moridin is apparently having the same sickness as Rand when he tries to use the Power."

This struck me as odd, and after some bickering back and forth with another board member, I decided to put my money where my mouth is, and actually do some research. Long story short, I couldn't actually find anything but the most tenuous evidence that this is actually the case.

So, I guess my question is this: is this in fact a commonly held belief? If so, why do people think this?

I've assembled a bevy of quotes and references, but I figured I'd hold off on posting them until I could determine whether there's actually a debate on the issue.

Edit: Just to clarify, I am not even remotely arguing that Rand and Moridin are somehow linked, or that the Balefire Incident in aCoS was the apparent cause of that link. I'm only debating the suggestion that Moridin is also getting sick when he channels.

What if there is a person (IE: me) who is unsure of what to believe, has only read anything after PoD once, and barely remembers any of it.

That is, I have no idea really what you are even talking about, and thusly the references and quotes could be quite helpful.

That they are linked, yes,

That Moridin sufferes the same dizziness Rand does, I think not. Terez is the only one I've seen suggest that he does.

Well, to sum up - you know how Rand gets sick and dizzy every time he takes hold of saidin nowadays? I was told that Moridin's suffering from the same sickness, and I don't think there's enough evidence to support that.

Fair point. I think I'll edit the first post to reflect this, as it's not the first time I've apparently confused someone about that distinction.
