Default The Broken Wolf Revisited

I know this has been debated in other threads, but I think theyíve all been put out to pasture. I just finished a reread of the last two books and have over 3 weeks to kill before AMoL so humor me. Iím bored.

Quote:
Lo, it shall come upon the world that the prison of the Greatest One shall grow weak, like the limbs of those who crafted it. Once again, His glorious cloak shall smother the Pattern of all things, and the Great Lord shall stretch forth His hand to claim what is His. The rebellious nations shall be laid barren, their children caused to weep. There shall be none but Him, and those who have turned their eyes to His majesty.

In that day, when the One-Eyed Fool travels the halls of mourning, and the First Among Vermin lifts his hand to bring freedom to Him who will Destroy, the last days of the Fallen Blacksmith's pride shall come. Yea, and the Broken Wolf, the one whom Death has known, shall fall and be consumed by the Midnight Towers. And his destruction shall bring fear and sorrow to the hearts of men, and shall shake their very will itself.

And then, shall the Lord of the Evening come. And He shall take our eyes, for our souls shall bow before Him, and He shall take our skin, for our flesh shall serve Him, and He shall take our lips, for only Him will we praise. And the Lord of the Evening shall face the Broken Champion, and shall spill his blood and bring us the Darkness so beautiful. Let the screams begin, O followers of the Shadow. Beg for your destruction!
ófrom The Prophecies of the Shadow
Letís take a quick review of two events in the last two books that might help us solve this debate.

!. In TGS, Rand destroys Natrinís Barrow with balefire in order to kill Graendal. This preludes Rand almost destroying Ebou Dar in the same way after his emotional confrontation with Tam.

2. Rand then travels to Dragonmount and nearly succumbs to the stress of being the Dragon Reborn eg. the Forsaken, True Power, the taint, nearly killing Min and Tam, etc..

Letís say that Rand did ďbreakĒ under the pressure. He probably would have gone pretty insane. He probably would have started balefiring cities left and right. I think itís safe to say that if he broke, the Dark One would have no one to oppose him and the world would be lost. I think this would qualify as bringing fear and sorrow to the hearts of men, and shaking their very wills.

We know that Rand knows death whether it be personified as Moridin or simply losing people close to him eg. Moiraine, the various other women he list in his memory and soldiers who fight for him. You could even say that the death Lews Therin caused might qualify as well. Even knowing Lews Therin who is dead fits.

My belief is that this prophecy was made assuming that Rand would collapse under the pressure of being the Dragon Reborn and be broken by the Shadow. Rand would have been the Broken Wolf, but the prophecy failed...

Another interesting possibility:
LTT was the Lord of the Morning. Perhaps Rand is the Lord of the Evening. That would rather change things, wouldn't it?

Default Hopper.... Broken Wolf

We know that when wolves die.. it is seen as only a temporary thing as they go to TAR and chase TAR Stags.. However, in the dark prophecy at the end of TOM, it seems that Death has a greater meaning.

Also, as was mentioned/suggested in posts that I saw amongst the Theories.. If Slayer is killing wolves and making DarkHounds, will that not happen to Hopper? What is a DarkHound if not a broken wolf?
