AgeOfLegends is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Looking for a new book

Hey there,
Occasional poster long time lurker here looking for book advice. I've got all the mileage I can out of WoT (for the moment at least). I'm looking for a new series (preferably 3+ books) similar in setting to the WoT. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

What to you like in wot?
-world building?
- characters
- the not so grim part

Otherwise its hard to give recommendations that you will like

Well there is Robin Hobb. Start with Farseer trilogy. A lot of similarities with WoT in its setting, but then again a lot of differences as well.

Guy Gavriel Kay. Fionvar Tapestry Trilogy.

Followed by anything else by GGK -- a couple of other trilogies and some stand-alone novels.

Try Sanderson's other series.
Mistborn (3+1 books)
Stormlight Archive (2 books, will be 10, start with The Way of Kings)
Elantris (1 book)
Warbreaker (1 book)

All books set in the same universe (but not the same world)
