About Theoryland Factions
A few years ago, we started the Theoryland Factions. In essence, instead of having to repeat your stand
on an issue, like "who killed Asmodean", you could sign-up your name to a certain belief and begin to create a community of fellow users
who agreed with you. It was another good idea that can only really work if it is automated...which we have now done.
To use the part of the site to its fullest you must join Theoryland (either with a free membership, or $15 a year for additional access to the online Wheel of Time Search engine). Being a member allows you
to join and create factions. If you don't want to sign-up, you can still view the current factions and their members. We will continue
to moderate new factions, but you can add or remove your name from any faction...although try to be consistent. You can't be a One Souler
and a Two Souler.
Creating Factions
When you create a faction, you become the faction Champion, and you usually take all the blame if
you cannot find any recruits (most easily found on the message board). You are responsible for making your the statement of your
belief, or what we call your Creed. For example, "We believe that Lanfear killed Asmodean." Sometimes the title of your faction
does not explain your faction fully enough, so your creed enables you to spell it out properly. Factions do get deleted if no one joins over a period
of time. So take a stand, join a faction, but be ready to defend it on the board...Tamyrlin
